Tucked in Gigiri, it’s a cute cafe to visit for brunch on a sunny weekend; the space is a bit smaller for hosting bigger groups. The downside is, that when it rains, you have to all squeeze into each other and wait for the rains to pass. Such a bummer for brunch.
Otherwise, the ambiance is really great and the breath of air passing by as you have a meal is unmatched. The service is fast until when it gets busy and the service gets somehow slow. I went for their brunch (it was Ksh 1800) and I had the crispy wings at Ksh 800, grilled red snapper as my main meal at Ksh 1250, and home fries at Ksh 450. For cocktails, I did the darling at Ksh 850 and the volcano at Ksh 450 for dessert. I had mixed feelings about the brunch and would give it a 3.5 - the pricing seems okay but not sure on the value for money. The home fries are definitely good, but the drinks and desserts weren’t my best.
The cocktails could need more alcohol and were not what we expected for the brunch as advertised, but some other people were happy with their meals. It serves a cute space surrounded by nice artisanal galleries/curio shops that sell Kenyan-made brands. It’s a hit-and-miss for brunch here for big groups if in...

They require better customer communication skills. They also serve different food items than described in their menu (e.g you’ll just get one strip of bacon (which they say is a standard serving for the meal, without offering the option to add more before the meal arrives), which seems odd consider the price of the meal. They also swap out ingredients without informing you (e.g normal large tomatoes rather than the mentioned cherry tomatoes - big difference in flavor for a salad which was chosen because of the grilled sweet cherry tomatoes the...

Staff sauntered into Cafe at 9 am and proceeded to prep for open.
"Can I get a coffee?" I asked. Response: "The machine is not ready"... "Can I sit at this table"... Response: "No one is here to set the chairs, etc" (never mind that you are here).
Thank God for Ephantus who seems to understand the whole reason the Cafe is in business in the first place-Customers.
To the owner: Please take your staff back to training especially Mary. If you open at 9, prep should be complete by 8:50 am for door open. Staff like Ephantus maybe saving...
