Marriott Executive Apartments Kuwait City — Hotel in Mirqab

I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Marriott Executive Apartments in Kuwait City, and I highly recommend it! As a Bonvoy Silver member, I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded from a studio to a one-bedroom apartment, which enhanced my experience.

The apartment was clean, spacious, and beautifully designed, with an open kitchen featuring a trendy light blue color that created a bright and inviting atmosphere. The ample storage space made me feel right at home and left me considering longer stays in the future.

Since I was driving, I appreciated the free parking—a great perk, although I found it a bit challenging that valet parking is paid, requiring me to manage my own car and having to drive to basement 3 to which adds about 5- 7 minutes to my trip time.

I felt completely secure during my stay, as the elevators are accessible only with a room key, providing an extra layer of safety.

One of the highlights of this location is its direct access to Assima Mall, a fantastic spot for shopping with a mix of local and international stores, a small IKEA, and a variety of delightful restaurants and cafes. There’s also a Monoprix grocery store accessible from both the mall and the basement parking.

While my stay was enjoyable, I did encounter a few challenges. The restaurant closes at 10 PM and there is no in-room dining, so when I attended a concert that ended around midnight, I found myself driving around the city in search of food, as no restaurants in the hotel or mall were open at that hour. If I could give zero stars, I would for Marriott Executive Apartments. We booked this hotel a month in advance for a group of seven adults, including a pregnant woman, expecting a smooth and comfortable stay. To our shock, the hotel canceled our booking without any prior notice, leaving us stranded upon arrival. Upon arrival, we were told that there were no available rooms and that they were "sold out." Only one room was available and we all stayed together in one room and we are seven adults!! Despite our reservation, they offered us no alternatives or accommodations, leaving us with no place to stay. There was no explanation, no effort to find a solution, and no accountability from the staff. The pregnant member of our group was left stressed and exhausted, and the lack of professionalism and empathy from the hotel was appalling. This experience was unacceptable and completely ruined our vacation from Dubai to Al Kuwait.
