Everyone must go to Kyrgyzstan Karakol. What a beautiful place on the other corner of the world. However my experience would not have the same with out this great hotel.
The service is exceptional, from the owner to the very janitors, people really treat you with their full respect and hospitality. The son of the owner Zakir has been outstanding in proving all the things necessary to make us happy. He took us on great sight seeing and explorations. In a short time of 2 weeks, we were able to capture all of the activities in Karakol.
Thank you Zakir.
Rooms - Just an amazing and warm atmosphere that any person would desire. I would like to point out how ecological and environmentally friendly is the interior of the hotel. Almost everything is made out of wood. Also please do visit the Sauna, which creates this great Russian/ Kyrgyz culture around you. Rest like you had the weight of the whole world on your shoulders. This is the Hotel to go in Karakol. I hope they will open a franchise and will be all over the world.
Last but not least, FOOD. National dishes of Kyrgyzstan were more delicious every time I ate it. Manty, plov, beshbarmak, meat, lots of meat. And all this you can get in Nomad Hotel. I believe that the Hotel prepares the meals better than most of the restaurants of Karakol. It was truly amazing. You can truly relax and enjoy every part of your stay and if you decide that you wanna feel more at home, visit the second floor lounge where Aziz the best barista in Karakol will make you a cup of fresh ground coffee or anything you'd like to drink from "starbucks".
I 100% recommend Nomad Hotel Karakol, for everyone planning to go to Kyrgyzstan. You will not regret it.
Outstanding, thank you for...
Read moreLazy staff! The shower head in one of our rooms was broken. The lady at the reception came to the room to look at it and then said she'll be back in 5 minutes. After 45 minutes still nothing, so we went to the reception and she said that she can't have it fixed today. Also, the water was cold. Instead of showing them that it's a water boiler and it is turned off, she said it'll be warm tomorrow. I had to tell them later to turn it on, otherwise they would still have had cold water the next morning. Finally, the lady at the reception promised to bring shampoo, but apparently she forgot. In my own room, there was a very loud noise around midnight. In fact, the whole room was vibrating. I asked if she knew what it was, she just said no and left. A few minutes later I had figured out it was the A/C unit of the room next door. Again, she just shrugged, said sorry and did nothing. In the end we asked the neighbours if they could turn it off. Otherwise, rooms are what you would expect in Karakol and the location isn't bad if you're using it as a base to get to hot springs etc.
Edit: This morning I had no...
