Biplan City — Hotel in Daugavpils

Room:||We requested a quiet room. What we received was road noise and people talking all night long.||We also reserved a room (and paid for) with twin beds, we were given a small double bed. When we spoke to staff about this we were told that was all they had left. No apology, no discount, we were expected to accept what they gave us.||I can not remember a time when I have reserved/paid for certain features and the hotel just did what they wanted to. ||There was a plastic kettle, we had to place it on the floor in order for the plug to reach the socket.||The AC had a very bright light on it that shown straight on my face, it lit up the whole room.||Mold in shower||Breakfast:||Boiled eggs, some soft some hard boiled all mixed together, processed cold cuts, tin beans like in England, slimy, fatty pork slices their version of bacon (?) Fresh vegetables cut up, no fruit, potato pancakes very oily and all stuck together, water in pitcher had particulars floating in it, small breakfast area, processed grocery store cheap cookies, olives/ pickles/ beats.. cheap cold cereal. ||There was enough to find something to get started but I can't recommend paying extra for this sort of breakfast.||Parking:||Located in back of property, it is scattered, only few spaces on concrete, others under trees,...

Arriving late at night the corridor was a bit spooky with it's lighting and color scheme. But that just adds to the charm of the place. The reception was warm and friendly and makes you feel at ease.||AT 30 USD for a double room with private bathroom and free breakfast, I think it was great value, with no real complaints.The rooms are very good and comfortable. Couldn't find any English channels on TV though. Bathroom was clean. The breakfast was a good spread (keep in mind the price). Free parking on the street. Best Hotel in Daugavpils, We stayed for 3 nights and had an amazing stay. We were visiting from the UK and all staff spoke perfect English as well as Russian. Check in is easy and quick, reception not 24 hours but access via key card. Parking available in courtyard round the back of the hotel free or charge. Room was spacious and modern with air con. Large shower with wet room floor. Breakfast was great and included with stay, continental and cooked options available. Service was Excellent, nothing was a problem!
