Yoggi Bear — Restaurant in Daugavpils

Writing this comment as my review on one of the Instagram posts for this restaurant was deleted TWICE. We visited this restaurant on 8 July 2023. I have heard a lot of good reviews about the restaurant and decided to check it out. Unfortunately the image from the Instagram is far from reality. Food was very average, not like in the Instagram pictures. Most second course dishes served with ketchup 😳🤣 We ordered two sharing platters for starter, antpasti and wine platter for two. One came quick, but the second one took about 30 min or so. Waitress forgot to bring the plates for each guest to eat their starter, so we had to pick starters from the main plate with our hands... She only brought the plates when the 2nd platter came. Also, the starters on the platters did not have the same ingredients as the menu. There were no grapes, no sundried tomatoes, strawberry jam instead of fruit chutney 😳... Whiskey was served in warm glasses just out of the dishwasher 🤣 They advertise Moet champagne on Instagram, but ran out of Prosecco after three glasses... When we asked for a sharp knife for the steak, the waitress could not understand what it was. She said they only have table knives. All of this time the service was very slow. When I came to the bar, as noone would attend to us, the waitresses were hanging on the bar stand chatting.... Nice 🤦‍♀️ All of this horrific service came at a huge price of EUR 174, which is sufficient for a small town in Latvia. Don't go there. Spend your money...

Only 4 tables were occupied, but the waitress was no in rush to bring QR code for menu (about 8min), then after 15min waiting to order we went to ask her to come. Kids were very hungry... we ordered, and the cacao and water took another 15min to come. The food... Okey only tortilla pizza was tasty, but it shouldnt be on kids menu, because kids dont eat olive pesto sauses, any greens on top. It should be on snack menu. Chicken nuggets were fine. Grilled Chicken breast was quite okey but nothing special. But pork ribs were DISSASTER! How they dare to bring spoiled ribs all black under (covered not to see at first!). So in general 41 eur was not worth the lunch of family. Go to...

A year ago, there was good, friendly and efficient service. Fresh, tasty food. Great choice of vegetarian and meat options. Unfortunately, this year when we visited Yoggi Bear Restaurant, we had to wait for a wine platter and a bottle of Prosecco for more than 30 min, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. Waitrose kept forgetting to come back to our table. Moreover, the wine platter was served with rotten raspberries and blueberries. By mentioning this to the waitress, I got a response, “We received those berries today, but anyway, we will give you a discount”, giving a discount of 1 Euro. (?!)
