In astra, B&B sveciu namai — Hotel in Vilnius

We have spent there 2 nights and my feeling are quite mixed.||B&B is small and located on the second floor sharing the same building with some offices and apartments. I believe once there were an apartments which have been rearranged into the sort of hotel.||Our quadruple room looked very modest or I'd say even Spartan. See a picture. It was pretty much clean however. ||Sound isolation was quite poor. Breakfast consisted of packed items from a supermarket. The only hot items served there were boiled eggs, toasts and coffee. Actually they don't have any capacity to cook anything.||What we liked about that place.||Location. You don't need any transport while your interests are within an Old Town (including Užupis)||Parking. They provide you a free parking near the premises which is a significant plus because parking in the old town is quite expensive.||Hospitality. They don't have 24/7 reception, but receptionists while on shift were very nice to us. They answered all our questions about the sights and their proximity and also allowed us to leave our car few hours after we checked out.||Free WiFi worked fine.||In my opinion a price we paid was a bit high (70 EUR/night) but if you are okay with a price and you expect just to spend a night there, you can...

I wanted to like this place, but end I cannot. The rooms are plain, basic and clean - so far so good, that's all I needed. Somewhere during a week of work meetings. But...the rooms are noisy, facing on to a cobbled street with fairly constant busses and traffic. The rooms are also way too hot for me, but maybe you like that. And then it's just weird, super hard to find if you arrive at night, no lit signs at all. And then the staff started hassling me three days before departure to pay, not just one but multiple time. Texting me, leaving postit notes in my room, and bailing me up in reception. Not cool. I cannot...

Nous avions réservé 3 nuits dans cet hôtel avec une arrivée prévue le vendredi soir entre 22:00 et 23:00. L'horaire d'arrivée avait bien été spécifiée lors de la réservation sur booking.com. Nous sommes arrivés à 22h00 à l'hôtel où nous avons trouvé porte close avec seulement un numéro de téléphone à appeler en cas d'absence. Nous avons appelé à ce numéro et la personne jointe nous a dit qu'elle était partie car elle n'attendait aucun client mais qu'elle allait prendre un taxi et qu'elle arriverait dans 15 minutes. Nous avons attendu 1 h et sans nouvelle nous avons envoyé un SMS ( car le 1er appel avait fait fondre notre crédit téléphone). Une dame nous rappelle nous disant qu'elle n'avait plus de chambre et qu'il fallait nous rendre dans un autre hôtel sans nous laisser d'adresse car la communication a été coupée! Après de nombreuses recherches, nous avons fini par trouvé cet hôtel (le Comfort Vilnius) mais le réceptionniste (très aimable) nous a répondu qu'il n'avait plus de chambres! Il était en effet en train de gérer l'arrivée de 3 personnes qui avaient eues la même mésaventure que nous avec un autre hôtel! Il nous recommande le Panorama hôtel, choix très moyen,mais sans autre option alors qu'il est près de minuit nous prenons enfin une chambre!Le lendemain, nous avons recontacté la propriétaire de l'In Astra qui a reconnue à demi-mots pratiquer le surbooking. Elle a finalement accepté de nous rembourser la différence de prix avec le Panorama....c'était le minimum vu les désagréments causés. Bref hôtel à...
