The hotel is in good location. Room are pretty decent, comfortable and clean. We did self check-in since we arrived around 1am. Reserved via booking.com. The only thing I didn’t like was the disturbance at night when the hotel staff kept knocking on our door at bedtime. It was totally uncalled for. The staff wanted to settle the payment. They had all the credit card information before we reserved and if we did not show up, they would charge us the room anyway. If they so wanted our presence at the reception, they could have just sent a message via booking messaging system, which the hotel used to communicate with us prior to our booking. Of course, I got afraid who would be knocking at night unless it was a criminal or stranger. But it was emergency, I would understand. Or the staff could slip a note under the door so that when we enter the room, we would see the note. Another suggestion for those to self check-in, the hotel team should give instruction to see the staff at the reception the next morning. ||Would I come back to this hotel? Yes I would. I hope no more knocking on the door would happen at night when it is not expected. I am just sharing our experience...
Read moreThis place masquerades as a 3star hotel, when clearly it is not. It is more like a youth hostel.||Room- pokey, and cold and damp. Condensation on the windows, a real COVID recipe. TV didn't work. A box was attached to the TV, assumed was digital. WiFi was patchy but worked. Bed was lumpy and bumpy.||Staff- first comment received after a late check in was, 'Are you here to pay'!' No good morning etc:-. Asked if a copy could be made of a COVID certificate, response was, 'NO! We do not have that facility'.||Facilities-there are none. Wasn't even soap in the room. Unsuitable for disabled. Totally.||Check-in. Arrived after 4p.m., received an email saying the key was in a safety deposit box outside. Given a key code. The box was difficult to open and made worse by being in the dark. No illumination at all. Apparently staff leave early if only a few people in the hotel.||Breakfast-adequate but basic with some discrimination related to covid/non covid vaccines. You were told to clear your own plates.||||Personally, could get out the place quick enough.||Backpacker on a budget maybe, but on a city break or date I say business, do not go near this place. Unwelcoming...

If you like a double bed room, with prehistoric window isolation so you could enjoy the sound of traffic, unvented so could enjoy the wet rag smell of the floor carpet?
Yeah?! Good choice! You, my fellow traveler, room 26 is for you! Have a pleasant stay! If you close window, you can enjoy both traffic and wet rag smell. But, if you open window you will miss the wet smell, but additional traffic music will compensate it :)
Make sure you stick with your choice , because if you change mind after getting in and ‘tried’ the room, you will hear;
“I know, and I’m sorry, but you already ‘used’ it so you need to pay for another room (because it’s assumed here that you like all these custom features). Oh and the traffic music is loud?; too bad you have sensitive hearing”
Keep in mind, that not even booking.com could make the staff to change their mind.
Hurry up, before they fix it! (Thank me later!)
Much love, A fellow traveler
PS: Very serious faced staff, so wipe off that smile...
