Old Town Stay — Hotel in Vilnius

Stumbling across this hidden gem is like finding authentic, high quality, black Baltic Amber. It is located on the western edge of the Old Town and based on my brisk walk you are able to reach the main street, Gediminas, within 10 minutes and then you are only a stones throw from Vilnius Cathedral. If you walk south through the Town Hall Square you will reach the Gates of Dawn within a similar time frame. Walk east past the Vilnius University and you will come across Pilies Gatve (Castle Street) and across the River Vilnia you'll find the bohemian area of Uzupis. A convenient location for such a roomy, well equipped apartment. However, there is no reception here. On arrival you are greeted by the pleasant demeanour of Mrs Saule who will wait patiently outside for you to arrive. She will show you how to enter the secure building with the key fob and door keys. Ask as many questions now just in case you don't cross paths again but don't stress as you can always email or call her. If needed she can provide a map and the room can be paid using a credit card. If you hunger for a snack in addition to the restaurants there are nearby supermarkets and within the room a microwave and a small fridge are provided. Wifi will keep you in touch with the outside world, a safe will keep your valuables from temptation and an outdoor patio to enjoy the sun. Very nice rooms, perfect for our weekend stay. Very large, modern and clean rooms. Big large beds, very comfortable. Very big and clean bathroom with large shower cabinet (not those annoying curtains). Small fridge in the room to keep some food and drinks cold. Microwave oven and water boiler. Free wifi. What more do you need?||||The location was just at the edge of the old town. Actually, part of the old city walls are embedded in to the building. You can see it as you enter, down the first long hallway. Everything you would want to see in the old town is within a walking distance. I didn't know what to expect by renting an apartment in a city I had never visited before. But, after being picked up at the airport by the owner and taken to one of the cleanest, most comfortable apartments and treated with kindness I had to write and say that this really exceeded my expectations. I spent three nights here. The location is an easy walking distance from everything. It is very quiet even for being in the old town. The wifi works perfectly and the room couldn't be nicer.
