I would say it’s a thick and flavorful laksa with decent ingredients of chicken, shrimps etc.. pricing wise it’s slightly higher than others at Rm10 (large size which is a normal size elsewhere).

In terms of environment, seatings are mostly at the corridor of the shop which can be quite hot with the heat from the roadside. It’s not a place I frequent, but dropped by because I was in the area.

I do recommend to those who would love to go around hunting for the different laksas in town, but I don’t recommend it to anyone with MSG sensitivity (like me) as it caused my face sore for a while (and this happens a lot when outside food has more MSG than usual for me!) Overall a decent place, though not my...

The laksa was tasty, with a nice curry flavor and a slightly thick broth. But the portion felt small for RM10 (medium size). The noodles filled only about half the bowl, and the broth just a bit above.

It came with three prawns — maybe that’s the RM2 difference between the small and medium size? Still, based on the portion and quality, it feels like it should cost no more than RM8.

The iced barley drink had plenty of barley, but tasted quite strongly of chlorine.

Overall, it was okay, but I don’t...

Alfred Laksa is in Sung Heng Cafe, which is located just next to Wisma Mahmud at Jalan Sungai Sarawak. The stall has friendly staff, friendly tauke and fast service. The Laksa will cost RM6.00 per bowl for small size, RM8.00 per bowl for big size and more prawn. It usually draws crowd early in the morning and the kopitiam closes around 1pm in the afternoon. Bring a friend, because the breakfast price is affordable - 2 bowls of small sized Laksa, one Kopi Peng and one Teh O will only cost RM15.40, sui...
