When you first see the menu, price may not be the usual food price outside. It may seems a little bit expensive but trust me, those 8 or 9 ringgit fried noodle and kueh tiaw is worth the money.
We are not big eater so we only go for kampua noodle, kolo meesua, and the red wine mee sua soup
Kolo mee sua looks like primary school portion size but it taste amazing. For those who doesn't know, mee sua is expensive. The food taste amazing specially with cut chili on it.
We ordered 2 wanton kampua noodle for the kids. 1 with soy sauce and 1 normal. The portion is big and with sauce underneath. I love this kind of kampua because it is not too oily and dry.
Lastly, the red wine mee sua taste so original. The typical foo chow red wine taste. But the red wine is not strong enough for our standard.
Lastly. We ordered another 4 gong pia. The bun stuff with minced meat. It taste ok and meat is juicy enough. But not the best that we have tried.
Overall. This is a shop that you can taste foo chow delicacy. Price is slightly a bit higher than normal. And standard is good. Not the...

Soup zaocai fengan (糟菜粉干)was too salty, zaocai didn't taste of enough red wine and neither did the soup. To put in other words it tasted more like salted vegetable soup with lots of pork liver.
Fried baiguo (白粿)was ok, deprived of greens and colours whatsoever.
(Dishes are pretty monochrome if you ask me, not really appetising)
Kompias are fried - if you're a fan of dough and not the authentic firm kompias you get in Foochow areas like Sarikei, Sibu and Bintangor then maybe ... just maybe, slight pass? Stir-fried meat filling just the usual. Sweeter than salty is all.
Can't say much about the stir fried soup noodles (炒煮面)- my dad's 😂 but he didn't like it either.
Average coffee. Slow service of drinks during weekends, though staff are helpful,...
Read moreChoon Thian Food Centre is one of the best spots in town for authentic Foochow food. Their zhao cai fen gan really hits the mark, with a tangy sourness that’s just right and very appetizing. We also tried the chicken red wine mee sua and after asking for extra red wine, the flavor turned out rich and satisfying. The broth was thick, aromatic, and full of depth — truly delicious.
Apart from that, their kampua noodle is another must-try, simple yet flavorful, while the kong pia makes a great complement to the meal. Overall, this place delivers hearty, traditional Foochow dishes that keep you coming...
