Kuching Transit Inn — Hotel in Borneo

Reading other review saying this place is nice...I'm kinda shocked. My personal experience staying here was soo bad jeez. I was planning on staying for two nights but didn't make it. Too bad. I checked out earlier. Even for a budget hotel, I stayed on a few better hotel than this.

Starting with the hygiene, the towel smells weird and not fresh like "laundry fresh". The bed got a few dark stains and bathroom was particularly mouldy. The toilet doesn't have hose but thankfully the shower got a good heater. It's funny how they only provide one little bar soap like you can just provide two lol.

The walls are really thin like you can literally hear people "make babies" from the other side. It was so awkward to sleep and weirdly at night the plumbing/piping maybe made loud sound from the walls and I can't sleep at all. Few noises from outside is very loud like people footstep, dragging things and children shouting is too much. Because located on top of a restaurant, people chopping meat and pounding stuff can be heard.

The only good thing is the heater in the shower and the air conditioner. No water heater in the room (you gotta go to the lobby to use one) and only given two mineral water. TV channel is so sad, pretty much like 3 channels only. Wifi is bad, given password but can't connect at all.

got cockroaches 😅 if you wanna take a nap during afternoon, be sure you have put your earphones on as the airport is around the corner 😂

only 5 - 10 mins walk then you reach thebbus station. as for airport, I think mostly 20 - 30 mins of walk.

conclusion, very near to airport and bus station.

there are some halal food, Indian food as well as Chinese food within the building.

if you like fast food, you can go to the bus station, as there have KFC, Sugar Bun, secret recipe, SCR too.

I only give 3 stars due to cockroaches and no hair dyers and cold/hot water dispenser. cleanliness is just ok but still...
