WIN HOTEL — Hotel in Borneo

PERMANENTLY BLACKLISTED Hotel in Sibu.

(It is rare for me to give 5 Stars to any hotels, restaurants and etc but this Win Hotel deserved to have 5 Stars Rating on this Year 2022.

The bed are comfy, almost comparable to the alternative to the Tanahmas Sibu Hotel. The sound insulation is nice and can sleep well due to no disturbance from the traffic outside the hotel.

This hotel is very close to the Sibu Waterfront and Waterfront Residents Apartments. There are abundant places of eateries places, restaurants and coffee shops nearby. This place is one of Sibu's marvel of the newly green town covered with the vast grasses and trees.)- Dec 2022

Updated on Feb 2023, only 1 pillow for each bed. The pillow is thin. Being informed by the Front Desk that the Extra pillows will incur RM20 charges. It is because of the Hotel's policy. Down from 5 stars rating to 3 stars rating for that. Housekeeping (HSK) keep the room clean, neat and tidy. Towel is clean, bedsheet, pillowcase and linen are comfy and clean. All light bulbs are functioning. Every TV's channels available are clear in signal. Mini refridge is functioning well. Love it. The elevator lift on the far right is quite shaky. Still plenty of improvement need to be filled.

Updated March 2023. Terrible services, 2pm check in time delayed to 4.15 pm. Most of the guests are yelling for waiting too long for their room to be cleaned. Quite unpleasant atmosphere. Bathroom smelly. From 5 stars to 3 stars, now 2 stars (Revised 1 Star, to give them a room for improvement) left. Need to upgrade. Looking forward for the upgrade in services.

Updated November 2023. We have given this Hotel another chance and stay here for one night. The pillow are available for 2 pieces for each bed, quick front desk service, clean room and toilet, functional TV, super cool Aircond, Water Heater functioning, the Hotel is smelled so aromatic and calm, the bell boy are welcoming, will come again to keep another review to be the second re-review. Hopefully that the hotel management keep up the good service/maintenance or increase the performance. Supposed 0 Star (have to ticked 1 star) and the new star given would be 3 stars for a good start.

Updated May 2024 Permanently Blacklisted. Worst services ever and never improving after being given plenty of chances for improvement. The worst customer service and management. Avoid this hotel at all cost. Zero Rating...

I was travelling to Sibu for work and manage to checked in to Win Hotel for few days. After for so many months stop traveling on business trip due to COVID, i finally able to checked in here. The hotel is disinfected every day. The lobby is small but with modern look with waiting area and some sofa provided. Receptionist was quite friendly except when i told them i will be check in later than my actual date, without really taking note of my booking number, they insist that i can’t check in the next day. Had to make a second call to clarify and highlight on my booking number. ||||The room itself is clean, not smelly or carpet smell, with it’s door security is by card accessed. Toilet is clean too with special design on the bathroom glass door. There is no door for the toilet, but you can swing wide the bathroom glass door and become your toilet door. ||||Aircond is cold too. Not a centralised aircond, but a split unit in individual room. Don’t expect much on the tv channels or programs, neither a smart TV. Bed, pillow and comforter is quite new considering this is a new hotel. And it is comfy. I enjoy my stay here and i like the open space design on the hallway or middle of this building. That is why i am attracted to this hotel. ||||Overall, for hotel evaluations i consider this is a very cheap for a 3 stars hotel. Worth of staying both for family trip or business trip. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights over the Qing Ming period. Not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. Check in was smooth, room 706 overlooking the river and park was very bright with floor to ceiling windows. |The room is big, about 50 sqm with a king sized bed and quality King Koil mattress. There is also a full size sofa in the middle of the room. ||There are is an ironing board, iron, hair dryer and mini fridge provided. No in room safe deposit box, though. ||The room is not really soundproof as we could hear other guests, especially kids running around in the room above and outside in the corridor. ||There is no dedicated car park and most of the time the few off street parking spaces outside the hotel are taken. However, there is free public car parking available near the park, about 100 meters from the hotel. ||There is no restaurant available in this hotel but many coffee shops and bars are nearby. ||Room cleaning was a good with our room serviced before noon and Adam at reception was polite and professional during check in...
