DE HOUSE HOTEL — Hotel in Borneo

For this recent trip, we’d a pleasant stayed (4x nights) in this lovely, well groomed courtesy staffs, well keep De House Hotel for our Chinese New Year stay.||||This hotel is near to the ferry point where you can see the cyclists crossing the Rejang river via the ferry. It is a great way to get an excellent view and experience on the ferry while gazing through the beautiful river banks of the river intersection. Apart from that, you can have a morning or evening walk too at the riverside!||||For the food outlets, there are many choices. It is really convenient and easy access to kopitiam, cafeteria, bakery shop, PapaRich, Sushi King, various bubble tea cafe at a walking distance and even the hotel also have a presentable cafeteria that can caters various people’s choice.||||For the room functionality, the room comes with electronic devices which you can call for Cleaning up the room and No Disturb services. When we came back to our hotel on the second day afternoon, we noticed that our room has not been tidy up by the housekeeping staff. After verifying, the manager immediately responded to us that we had put up the sign (LED message) of No Disturb and they respect their guest for not making any attempt to cleaning up the room as per request. (Note: It was our fault that we had unintentionally press the message of No Disturb while leaving the room in the morning!)||||The rooms comes with a hair dryer, a mini fridge and the hot and cold water system is perfectly suit our needs. There is one thing we want to highlight is that the hotel room is bright (three big strong downlighting & two tubes at the back of the bed frame) for reading and doing our work stuffs with a high watts bulbs for many hoteliers offers a more dinner or lower watts bulbs. They even have two different types of lightings offer in the bathroom whereby a very low watts bulb installed acting as a night light💡 which is not glaring but dim and serve well during the night.||||The toilet seat even comes with an auto wash device!...

This hotel is located near many eateries, including its own Outright Coffee, and Bakemore Bakery. There are also many restaurants and cafe within walking distance. If you're renting a car, there's also a car rental which is just across the street. But to get into town center, you need a car ride.

The rooms are pretty small and space is tight. Depending on which unit you get, some have a tiny, tiny wash basin in their bathroom.

A few things spoiled my stay.

1. Check-in was not smooth. The receptionist could not locate my name and it took a while before we realised that my room-mate's name is the name they have in the system.
2. The alarm of a nearby building/shop went off at 2am - for 2 nights in a row.
3. The air-cond control is cranky. You can only set at 23Celcius. If you want to make the room cooler, you still need to set at 23 for half an hour before you turn it lower. But it is not guaranteed to work that way. It's only the staff's...

De House Hotel located at new area. for locations i m quite satisfied as i need few hours to sleep for my meeting purpose only.||||Things to improve:||I stayed at Room 306, standard room, the shower room shower head cant adjust either from top or handle, both came out together as button spoited. Highlighted to staff but now sure will take initiative to repair.||||2. bedsheet and quilt cover not sure change or not, with some stain and dont feel really comfortable, but i m too tired because when i reached hotel is almost 12am and second day need to check out by 7am, so just sleep with it.||||3. Tower everything very yellowish, i dont use hotel tower normally, but just highlight.||||4. Due to new township i guess, surrounding cafe very pricy compare to town area.
