Little Heaven by Sky Hive — Hotel in George Town

I URGE ANYONE WHO WANTS TO RENT THIS PROPERTY TO LOOK ELSEWHERE BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT TRUTHFUL. You will be extremely disappointed by the filthy and rundown place. Even though I have provided evidence, they still refuse to accept the truth and instead insist on false allegations. My Response to the owner- I am appalled at your response and brings into question your integrity. I am also shocked that you mentioned that we brought 6 dogs whereas in your terms and conditions there was no mention about how many dogs are allowed. Are you spying on us? This is very worrying and disturbing to us. Can you confirm that we brought 6 dogs? Additionally, we are not sure why you are lying in your response about us having made the place dirty. We checked in at 3pm and sent the pictures of the filthy kitchen at 6pm. Unfortunately after your staff acknowledged and apologised, there was no action to come and clean the horrible place. As I have pictures and text messages as proof with time stamps, I hope everyone who reads this knows that they are dealing with a rather questionable management. Here are the proof of my messages with your staff. I also sent a message to the “top management” but there was no reply.

The place is filthy and worn down. It needs MAJOR refurbishment. The kitchen was disgustingly dirty. See pics attached. Fridge and aircond was not working The outside furniture had birds poop on it which means it wasn’t cleaned recently The garden was a mess. Grass was overgrown and the amenities were old and debilitated. Owners should have some sense of pride but they don’t. Heaven is what it should have been but the reality was that for the price you pay the premises are sadly lacking. This is intended as feedback for the owners since the feedback given in person was not well received. Sincerely I hope that they take heed.

Good Points: *Air conditioning throughout is cold and very effective for the hot days Location is right on the beach but it is a lot of rocks and a perilous descent down said rocks to the beach proper. Drinking water filter was great

Needs fixing: Literally half the toilets were not working and/or leaking making toilet floors perpetually flooded and a slippery hazard Furniture is a mix of mismatched old items. Sofas in the living room have an odd smell and you can feel the springs poking through. Desk chair is a broken piece that topples backwards when you lean back Wifi is slower than Dial Up Pillows have a really unpleasant smell Barbeque utensils supplied still had crusted sauce on them Kitchen is poorly equipped Downstairs sleeping area is not a room but more of a partitioned area of the front living room Sliding doors jammed and are difficult to lock at night Only viewing option on the TV is an illegal android box

Worth mentioning, but not their fault is that the close proximity to Jalan Tanjung Bungah means that you will hear every boy racer and modified car and motorcycle racing up and down the street right through the night.

Certainly for the price they ask (which isn't cheap) they should be providing a better equipped and maintained accommodation and not an old house in various states of disrepair.

To their credit someone did come by and ask for feedback which was duly given. After which the response was that they are not a 5 star...

Very cozy homestay,very clean and friendly owner. very near to the beach, but the stairs to the beach was quite steep. The beach itself is dangerous for children as the current was strong and it bottom were steep. Take note that even the house is next to the beach, to get to the beach u have to walk down the stairs. The house is not same level as the beach. As for angler, its not a very good spot, fish activity was quite low even during high tides.
