Penang Hill Lodge — Hotel in George Town

Overall, this place is quite satisfying and we had a pleasant stay. We stayed for a night only and its quite a last minute decision.||It's more like a homestay or lodge, and the hospitality is really great, the indian lady that attends to us is really warm and helpful, going extra miles to help us in finding direction to one of the attraction(Penang Hill), where the owner guided us through phone to look fir the hill.||I think the place is quite new and we do like the room, though is a bit small and no windows, toilet is clean and beds are comfy, places are relatively quiet (we didnt see other occupants during our 1 night stay)though we do hear musics coming from other rooms almost all the time. Also, this lodge is about 30 min walking distance from Penang Hill(if you do not mind walking).||||The only downside of this place is that its far from the central city, or mall. And is quite tricky to find this lace.They do have few restaurants to eat nearby, we stayed during weekend so there is a night market nearby(5 min walk). If you have a car it will be...

Not sure if this is the place I visited but there are not that many places on penang hill. It was a small hotel that also had a Hot pot restaurant. What made it interesting was the verandah where you could eat. After being there for 30 minutes the owner/manager came out and asked us to look up. On the roof of the verandah which was wire and bushes were several pit vipers similar to what you see in the snake temple. The owner said they are not agressive and they leave them alone as they keep down rodents. So if you do decide to stay..keep an eye out in the bathroom...

Lots of mosquitoes and noisy neighbours. The front entrance door keep beeping even though there is no one around. One of the light - uses cloth as the lamp shade. There is practically no one around at the reception. No equipment for making drinks. No one to refer when you need anything. Door was knocked at 12 sharp for check out. I should have check in a proper hotel. I was scared of the stairs, so steep and as we are tall, the structure in the room and stairs are not friendly at all. Not coming...
