This is the first time staying at Nex hotel but form the moment I booked, I know it will be a great budget hotel. ||I booked a family room for 2adults and 1kid through Mr Genesis and his customer services is superb! ||||||Room is clean with a queen and a single bed. Firmness of bed and pillows is 7/10. Air-condition works well.||||||Toilet comes with basic amenities( toothbrushes, shampoo & bath liquid soap).||Rain-shower water temperature is constant. There is no bathtub as the toilet is rather small and the whole toilet may get wet after bathing but that's a small problem for us. If travelling with kids, just need to remind them to be careful with the wet toilet floor after bathed.||||||Simple buffet breakfast was included and it's more than enough to start your day. We stayed for 3days 2nights and some changes for the buffet dishes during our stay. ||||||Tips: ||- Morning wet market with some food carts is just 1minute walk from hotel||||- Perling Mall is just 4mins walk from hotel. Direction: out of hotel main entrance, turn left & after a few steps, left again and walk straight for 200m(2mins walk), turn right, you can see the mall ahead and walk straight for another 2mins.||||- there's a rather big giant supermarket, a Marybrown restaurant, a DIY shop and few other small shops. It's just a basic 2 storey small mall.||||-No problem even if you feel hungry in the night to find nice malay/Indian food/restaurant as there's plenty around the hotel.||||-self-service laundry shop less than a minute walk from hotel.||||||I took some photos of hotel room, hotel breakfast etc. for this review....
Read moreI had stayed here with husband just for night previously and thought it would be nice to bring my in law and aunt for a short getaway here. Check in on 8th and check on 10 December 2018.|We got a Suite Room which is comfortable and quite fair of space. Like I said, everything was all good until our check out day. Check out was 12pm. However, we decided to check out early to go for lunch and head for our train home at 2pm. |This is a shocking incident and I hope no one will have to go through this. We went down to reception at 10.30am and found no one at the front desk. Waited for a while, ring the bell still no one came. We, my family and a delivery guy waited for 20 minutes and saw the 2 ladies which we think either owns the hotel or managed the hotel came. Guess what, no words of apologies to us till I said ' You made us wait for 20minutes & I didn't hear you apologise to us.' She apologised looking down at her cash register and passed me my deposit.|I am not expecting her to be like a chain hotel reception but at least have some courtesy. And do you feel safe with a hotel with the receptionist leaving the front desk for more than 15 minutes? |I don't know if I would come back but service recovery sucks. For safety I can only...
Read moreWe stayed here last week and the room was surprisingly small. We had 2 (one small, one medium) backpacks and it's hard to place them on the floor and walk around the room. ||||There's no closet to put our bag or clothes. Our 'double bed' was actually two single beds push together, not a proper double bed. ||||As for bathroom, the water closet was in awkward and crampy position, it's a little hard to sit there without bumping my head at the basin.||||Bizarrely, booking dot com listed the room size as 146 meter square which is impossible. Even the 5 star Renaissance JB Hotel club room is only 35 meter square! (I actually misread it as 46 meter square and thought I had a great room deal! If I had read it as 146, I would have known the room size is very very wrong.)||||Now for the good side: the solar shower, once warmed up, will provide water with constant temperature. Check out is very fast. Breakfast was not bad if you like local fares. The cleaning crew did a good job as I don't see any dusty corners.||||Overall, this hotel is good for short stay or you only need a place to sleep. I really hope Nex Hotel will correct the wrong room sizes with their booking...
