My booking was from the 27th of February to the 14th of March. Slightly more than 2 weeks at this hotel. Unfortunately, did not think to take any photos, but I will do my best to describe it.||Firstly, I have to mention that I slept in 3 of their rooms in total. Secondly, I booked their rooms under a package deal that was offered at their hotel, and not online (880 for 10 days and something else for 5 days or something). I utilise those 2 deals for the Sakura room consecutively. Finally, I was there for an urgent home visit, so I am mostly not in the hotel or did not want to complain much while I was there.||Room: relatively tidy at first glance. First room had some rust marks where the towels were kept, while the second room’s air con and toilet door were broken. I changed from the first room because the toilet got stuck and overflowed in the middle of the night, when there was no maintenance or cleaners. They were also happy to accomodate a second change when I pointed out the broken things in the second room||Walls weren’t very clean, and the cleaners seem to cut corners in their cleaning (my hair sheds regularly, and while some parts of the floor were clearly swept, the toilet had some hair, the drain always had hair, etc). They can be prompt in taking trash out but I don’t really like to ask them to come and re clean the room after a long stressful day.||This particular room has no windows, so can’t really say anything else. Also, at this budget price, no fridge. ||Customer service: staffs were very helpful and friendly at any time of the day. Also, staffs can speak English, which is super helpful. ||Location: if you have never been to Malaysia before or have never been to Johor before, I will just say that public transport isn’t the easiest in most parts of Malaysia. That said, download grab app, and it works great. Koho’s relatively central location means it’s just a few ringgit to most destinations, so great choice there. However, even though it’s central and next to a high way and a supper place, it’s relatively quiet in my room all the time.||For the price, can’t really complain. Obviously, with all the issues, I can’t give it 5 stars but I will...

For the price of a Sakura Superior Room, you could have stayed in a better hotel with a bit of top up. The room can be quite spacious, but the flooring is filled with air bubbles and can be a hazard for young kids or elderly.
The TV is the old style which is very small and too far away to watch. Remote control is not working well too.
Toilet shower gel and shampoo, they only provide one small bottle for 2 pax which is definitely not enough.
The whole room have got only one power socket which makes charging of electronic devices an issue. If you intend to book a stay in this hotel, make sure you bring your own multi socket/plug. Oh ya. And the only power socket is at the small table right below the old TV, so no watching of shows or using your phone on bed if you need to charge your phone. The kettle shares the same power socket too by the way.
The pillows provided is too soft, it just feels like you’re not lying on any pillow when you rest your head on it. Pillows provided is 2 each room. If 2 pax are staying in together, the pillows are definitely not enough.
During the stay, I’ve tried to ask for a change in room as there is no window as I’m Claustrophobic but there will be a charge of additional 42 ringgit if you want to change room.
Water dispenser is located at level 1, so you need to go all the way down if you need the water dispenser. Any need for ironing board, the board is located at the lift lobby for sharing use.
Overall, apart from the hotel located at a more convenient location, there is nothing here worth returning to this place for a stay.
Think twice...
Read moreIf you are a budget conscious/ price sensitive traveller, yes the rates are cheap. However u get what you paid for. It is just a 1 to 2 star hotel with no frills and don't expect warm hospitality from the hotel staff. We checked in late at night and the location is sleazy and poorly dim. There is no hotel car park, so park at your own risk around the shops and hotel. Front staff that checked us in was cordial. Hotel should state it is windowless for sakura room, and there is no kitchen as claimed by the Indian front staff guy. The hotel info stated in Agoda website is very misleading. Water pressure in the toilet is inconsistent, which makes showering a frustrating experience. There is no kettle, no fridge and no safety box for SAKURA ROOM. I am not sure about other rooms type though. And they used very strong overpowering fragrance to freshen up the room, which we almost gagged upon opening the door. The bed is hard, not comfy. On the whole, it was a poor experience and would be the last time we stay in this hotel. Will pay bit more elsewhere for a more...
