We were here for one night at Milano Hotel by staying at a Deluxe King Room. We booked the hotel room via Agoda and paid RM93.28 inclusive of service charge and hotel tax. It was a good deal in view that the initial room rate was RM140.00. There is a returnable RM50.00 deposit upon check-out. The hotel does not provide breakfast. ||||The check-in process was smooth and the front desk did inform us regarding the slow/inaccessible WIFI connection due to full occupancy. The lobby is located at the first floor of the building. Our room no. 118 is located at the same floor but at the other side of lobby. There is no segregation of smoking/non-smoking rooms. Luckily our room did not have cigarette smell. ||||The carpeted room is comfortable for two adults. The room is equipped with big window, writing desk and chair, air-conditioner, LCD television, safety box, telephone, hangers for clothes, tea/coffee making-facilities, two complimentary bottled water, hair-dryer upon request, international adaptor plug, body-length mirror, side table with drawer next to the double bed, and two extra pillows. The ‘bad’ pillows are tall and heavy. We slept without them. It was not a good sleep though. I found some stains on bed sheet. The lighting in the room was dim. ||||I love the attached bathroom. I thought it was spacious with a large mirror. The bathroom has a shower curtain. There is a washing basin, basic toiletries such as soap, shampoo and body gel, towel, floor mat, toilet, hot/cold standing shower and water pipe. The floor tile can be slippery after a shower. ||||The other concern would be the noise. The noise from the swiftlets as early as 6.30am and lasts until evening. Perhaps there is a man-made swiftlets ‘house’ nearby. As what the other reviewers have stated regarding the bass sound, we heard it too during midnight. We walked around the hotel in the evening, and could not find any entertainment outlets such as disco or pub. Then we saw a building with the decorated roof-top and music being played loud near Kluang Mall/Parkson (if not mistaken). We assumed that the midnight noise might be coming from there.|| ||Opposite the hotel is The Store supermarket. The famous Kluang Rail Coffee is just located within walking distance at the KTM station. The western restaurant Barney's is situated at the back of the hotel. We parked our car in front of the hotel entrance. We saw a guard working there to ensure safety. In short, the hotel is strategically located with cheap room price. However, the noise and the uncomfortable pillow may be a...
Read morePreviously, I stayed here in 2007 and totally hate it then! Smelly, dirty, noisy, outdated all roll into one. But, just a few months ago, a friend told me that he stayed here and said the hotel is brand new. I was struck at first thinking that my friend must be out of his mind. It couldn't be the same hotel he was talking about? Anyway, 10 years later (this year of cos) I found out the truth when i finally step foot again on this hotel. Its a totally different hotel! Rooms are all totally different from it was 10 years ago! Rooms are very2 modern and clean, nice bed and pillow for a very comfortable sleep. Some hotel doesnt provide complimentary toothbrush and toothpaste, but this hotel does. and comb, shoe polish too..(its the little details that really counts!). I stayed in a room without windows, next to the stairs, (room 201) which I think should be less noisy than the rooms which has windows. Last time I was bugged by really noisy sound coming from a pub nearby.. Seems like they are still at it reading from some comments. So guys, if you dont really need the views (which I dont reccomend, because there's not much of it), go get the rooms without windows to avoid noise pollution from nearby pub. Oh ya, just to add one cons of this hotel, there are no parking spots provided for you that come in by car. First come 1st serve, park along the street but make sure you buy some...
Read moreI would have given a 3 star if not for the poor service by the receptionist. Required a stay for 5-6 hours to rest & freshen up prior an event. We reached at 1.10pm and the staff didn't allow for an early check-in. She said the manager doesn't allow for early check-in although it was only 50mins earlier. Extremely inconsiderate!! After i express my disappointment, she said need to pay RM 10 for early check-in. Kinda ridiculous. I don't mind if you have told me they're still cleaning the room but room was available but you can't let me in earlier. Although other guests mentioned no deposits asked. But i was asked for RM50 deposit. Room was huge, smelly when entered but got better later. Extremely dim lighting, so if you're getting your makeup done in the evening or night, definitely not the place. Water pressure and heater was good. Bathroom flooring is slippery. Kids and elderly ppl need to be very careful. Cleanliness can be improved. No lifts. So ppl with knee problem, aged and heavy bags can consider looking for another hotel. I will NEVER return to this hotel because of the poor service by...
