Restaurant is comfortable, exterior design looks good. Service was meh. The owner was overly desperate to promote their food and it was not at all to my delight. Interrupted several times when we were discussing what to eat. (C'mon be patient la). Halfway through eating, the waiter came and asked if he could remove the plate which I was obviosuly still eating my potatoes wedges on it. Not sure his motive but it was unacceptable. Quesadilla is delectable, 8/10. Should try if you are visiting this place. Carbonara spaghetti was 5/10, the texture was spot on but lacked the cheesy flavour and the herbs were excessive. Grilled chicken with cheese was unsatisfactory. The portion of the dish was too penny-pinching as the thickness of the chicken chop was hardly even half-an-inch thick. The cheese topping lacked seasoning. In a positive note, the potato wedges actually went quite well. Completed the meal with lava cake and ice cream. Lava cake was 7/10, but the ice cream was substandard.

Read moreCame here to enjoy some Western food with my family, and when we entered, the kind staff greeted us immediately and brought us to our table which was very clean.
We'd ordered the garlic bread for appetisers and the Lamb shank and rosemary chicken chop which were on the Christmas menu, Aglio olio, and carbonara as our main course, all of which were reasonably priced.
Garlic bread was soft in the center while being crisp on the outside but the taste was only ok, but the main courses were amazing. The lamb shank was fall-apart tender, and very well seasoned. The chicken chop was also very tender and not dry at all unlike what past reviews had implied. I wasn't able to try the pasta, but they still looked very appetizing to me.
The atmosphere was also very calming and the service was amazing as the manager tended to all the requests and needs of my family and also greeted us when we left.
Overall 9/10 experience and will definitely be back here in the future to try...
Read moreI suppose the emptiness of the cafe should have allowed me to manage my expectations somewhat. But still, the ever hopeful me went in for the fun of it.
Ordered Cappuccino, chicken quesadillas (and almost the hazelnut crepe cake). The food was disappointing. The cappuccino, definitely from a sachet.
But.....
Yes there is a but...
The environment was conducive for some quiet reading. I was able to complete an entire chapter in a novel I'm catching up on; The Kite Runner.
Apart from the peaceful ambience, in all honesty, there's little reason for me to return to the Loading Bay Cafe.
ps: the staff (both of them)...
