From June 22nd until 24th, when covid didn't exist, I visited this hotel three years ago, where my vacation to Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan, was fun-filled and thrilled with my family. We stayed there for three days, two nights, and shared the whole accommodation with my family as it was like a family gathering. The hotel has three small bedrooms and a not-so spacious living room, one bathroom, but there was no kitchen because we opted out for the cheapest rates. It was a short vacation, and we didn't want to splurge a lot of money because we were on a budget, so we decided to eat at a restaurant nearby instead of cooking. Each room has an A/C, and there's also a TV with local channels. The inside bathroom looks clean and neat with the scent of flowers. For the low-cost rooms in which the block we stayed, there was no elevator to go upstairs, and our room is on the 4th floor, so we had to walk a flight of stairs.

Amenities:

We booked the room on weekends, so the parking lot was available for use and had different sections of roomy parking lot too. The concierge desk is in front of the hotel's gate; my brother's effort in taking the key to the room was hassle-free. Other conveniences such as pool, kids playgrounds, and mini zoo are accessible to everyone. We set off from our home earlier in the morning and reached the destination at noon, and as soon as we unloaded up our things in the bag, I took my shirt off, went to the pool, and threw myself into a 5 feet pool. Many tourists flocked and played in the pool, but I got my spot. The pool's area has two sections for adults, and the other one is for kids.

I didn't have any pet peeves to talk about because we stayed in a cheap hotel, and our expectations were minimal, so there's nothing to be mad about, and I was over the moon to see my family enjoyed this short vacation.

P/S: This hotel reminds me of my crush that I've known for eight years, where she went to this place with her foster family in September 2014. She was an exchange student from the US 🇺🇸 and enjoyed staying here. Her name is Connar Foote who is from Tennessee. It never crossed my mind that she would visit this place, and it was a coincidence! I can't believe I got to see this place and she too. I have her photos where she sat on the swing and a horse, and I also got to sit on those things, which made me think we were...

During our stay, No dine-in for breakfast, only take-away. Reason being: "it's like that since the pandemic." Lame excuses as restaurants elsewhere already open for dine-in, and funny thing is, this resort allows dine-in for lunch, but no dine-in for bfast? something is VERY wrong here.

When you come to check-in, they ask for RM100 deposit. In cash. I asked why cant you lock deposit from my credit card? the staff gave another lame excuse: it takes a long time to unlock the deposit.

Oh man. I hv been across the globe and never encountered such a terrible service and lame excuses.

I said I dont have that amount of cash (hello? it's 2022 and we go cashless!). So the staff said it's okay, can give RM50.

Lame hotel didnt tell their customers in advance that they receive cash only for deposit. They expect you to drive out after a long drive and look for ATM machine, then come back.

A lady at the next counter was also arguing about the deposit. I heard the staff asked her RM100 deposit, she asked if she could give RM50 (maybe she overheard us?), unfortunately, the staff didnt allow.

Terrible, terrible service.

Good thing is, they gave us an apt unit with a beach view, so that kinda balanced out my frustration, beach is like 10 steps away, but another bad thing is, come night time, it's super noisy as people hang out at the beach until late and our unit was at the lower floor.

The toilet is dirty and infested with mold. Sliding door is stuck. Pillows are very thin.

The building only got 1 lift, so we found ourselves resorting to emergency stairs as it's always full (we came during the weekend). This building is old.

Then we visited the swimming pool. To our disappointment, it was packed to the brim with people wearing casual dress like they are going to a sundry shop.

So you cant dine-in for bfast "because of pandemic" but can crowd the pool? how? I cant brain this.

Overall, the price doesnt justify the service and condition. Imo, it should be only RM100 below per night. Anything above RM300 has to be top notch service and superb condition. You get RM200+ accmodation in Bali with seaview and superb service.

Come to this resort if you have zero expectation and dont mind bad service and...

We stayed at this place for 2 days and 1 night. Uff what a horrible experience we had by staying here. We booked a pent house unit for 6 adults. |When we entered everything seems okay. Firstly, their aircond was a disaster. PD is hot + the aircond air was also hot. Not one aircond but all 3 rooms + hall aircond.|We had to call the maintenance to check but was of no use because it was still hot. Secondly, room card. This place only provides one card. |Hello excuse me at least provide 2 cards so at least when we return to our place after the swim we could at least have some cool air. Next, the house was meant for|6 adults but breakfast provided only for 5 adults. They say we should pay for the extra person but clearly it stated as 6 adults for that house and we were 6.|Moreover, their sofa never clean properly. Have lizard poop everywhere. Besides that, parking was full by the time we came back at night as there was an |event going on that night at their resort. Moreover, during night the aircond was hot in 2 rooms and hall as well. Only 1 room aircond was chill.|So we called the receptionist to ask if they can provide stand fan. The receptionist said no but instead he mentioned there is another unit available on the same floor and|he said we could shift there as the maintenance team had clock out so can't fix the aircond. It was almost 1am. But we said okay as it was so hot. Then, he said the |unit can only accommodate 5 adults but he clearly knew that we were 6 adults. So we asked if 4 of us could go to another unit and the other 2 remain in the same unit as |their room aircond was fine. But he said no if we shift it should be all of us together. His actions appeared to be short-sighted. So we just put the phone down and |just slept in a humid room. It was a TERRIBLE experience staying here. For what we paid it was not even up to par. Please do think twice before booking this place. |GLORY BEACH RESORT PLEASE DO ATLEAST PROVIDE FAN IN YOUR UNITS. THIS IS PD NOT...

To put it simply, everything is great, if you’re willing to put up with your accommodation. The good 👍 This place has a breathtaking view of the sea that overlooks several hotels and ports. The swimming pools are well equipped with facilities and small quirks that would make me forget the horrible accommodation (more on that later). Included with your stay, is a free viewing of turtle hatching and feeding. Those are pretty cool, the staff was friendly and explained everything about turtles from their life cycles to mating. There is also a: basketball court 🏀, a petting zoo 🐇 and a tennis court 🎾. The bad 👎 It is NOT a “complete” hotel. What I mean is that it’s a condominium/hotel and there are residences who live here 24/7. No, I’m not complaining about the residence. I’m complaining about the hotel treating every hotel guest and hotel room like a resident. Speaking of “hotel” rooms, the room i was situated in was fine, until i opened the balcony to find it littered with 3-5 pairs of swimming trunks. I get that this place is supposed to be a “low-budget” and “money friendly” but dang I wouldn’t even charge you if you ask me to pick it up myself. 🤷‍♂️ . On the topic of “low-budget”, i have to ask is your maids “low-budgets” too? Since on one of your walkways i manage to stumble ping a dead rat that was pushed to the side of the road. I find it questionable where the money is being spent on and why haven’t they invested back into themselves. (On a side note: i find it hilarious that one of the staff mentioned the three houses outside as being the owners houses, and wouldn’t you know it, the owner house a super custom made with one also having a glass dome on it, it hints at you where your money is going) In a nutshell, It’s a good place if your into the “budget-friendly” hotels. I personally would not stay at this places unless some renovation of revamp has taken place. Until then, this is how the place is. 👋
