Yanne Onsen Hotel offers a mixed experience, with some strong points and notable service gaps that should be considered, especially for first-time visitors or those seeking a higher level of hospitality.
Location & Accessibility The hotel is located about 10–15 minutes from Genting’s main attractions. Transportation is convenient via Grab, with fares averaging RM9 per trip for up to four people—making it a better value than the shuttle service, which charges RM6–7 per person. If you’re traveling in a group, Grab is the more cost-effective and flexible option.
Service & Hospitality This is where the hotel underdelivers. Upon late-night check-in, there was no front desk staff present. All communication had to be done via WhatsApp, including during checkout when we needed to leave our luggage. While responses were quick and efficient, relying solely on WhatsApp for basic services is not ideal for a property marketing itself as a hotel. It gives more of an apartment-like experience and raises concerns about cost-cutting on essential services like front office staff. Hospitality, in this case, felt minimal and impersonal.
Facilities Dining (excluding breakfast) and the gym are located in a separate tower, which can be confusing—especially for older guests or those unfamiliar with the building layout. The lack of key facilities in each tower can be inconvenient and gives a fragmented guest experience.
Room & Cleanliness On the positive side, the room was clean and well-maintained. A standout was the beautiful view—especially during cloudy weather when the mountain landscape becomes especially scenic. However, the toilet had a minor technical issue: the flush in the urinal section kept running slowly and required manual intervention to stop. It’s a small detail but one that impacts the overall impression of quality.
Conclusion Yanne Onsen Hotel offers good value in terms of location, cleanliness, and views, but falls short in hospitality and guest service infrastructure. It’s more suited for independent travelers comfortable with limited personal interaction and minimal hotel-like support. For those expecting full-service hospitality, this may not meet...
Read moreGreat stay for a short getaway in Genting. My husband and I enjoyed our stay as the property is tucked inside the Delemon estate and it was one of the newer development within the compound. ||The room was clean and the beddings were remarkably comfortable. No funky smell, drainage issues or dirty algae cladded windows. Perhaps the best experience out of all the other “apartment hotels” we tried in Genting. Ventilation in the room was good too, windy at night and fresh air all throughout the day. Air conditioning was also a plus point when the wind was dwindling. We took the studio apartment so it was spacious for the both of us. ||Zipping up and down to Genting Highlands was not an issue as we had a car and it is just a mere 10 mins drive. Slight drawback on valet in the hotel as their porch is rather small so securing a parking lot right outside the hotel lobby might be a challenge especially during the day. Upside is that there are other lots nearby if you’re willing to walk a little. ||Also, a huge shoutout to one of their staff, Tracy Lau. She was helpful in ensuring our express check in, room requirements and kept in touch with us throughout the stay to update us on housekeeping/valet/acceding to our requests etc. ||PS - there is no in-house line hence the hotel staffs will communicate with you through WhatsApp. Some might feel iffy about it but we personally think it works well in terms of efficiency. ||All in all, will return and hope this property holds up its immaculate outlook...
