ERNES Hotel Bandar Perda — Hotel in Penang

I quiet disappointed on the servicing of this hotel it’s very slow and not efficient. When we check in, they say need give cash for deposit for two rooms. The friend that arrived the hotel first don’t have any cash so he need to wait us for give him cash for continue the further process, but my friend already arrived the hotel 20 minutes ago, but the counter people they just start doing the process after we give deposit??? We wait for them to doing the check in process about 10-15 minutes. I was so shock because, we already pay the hotel money right, they should prepare the card & check in process when my friend arrived right.

The night that we check in they request deposit fees for RM208 for 2 rooms, so one room is RM104 deposit fees right. So when the next day we check out. They just refund us RM200 for 2 rooms, then one room only needs RM100 deposit fees. Then why last night they need to take RM104 per room??? It’s quite strange and not professional. This is cheating our money. The deposit fees is me giving cause I have cash on me, but when check out I told my friend help me to take the deposit cause they late check out, I early check out is because I have competition need to attainted. I quite frustrated about this point.

This hotel has only 2 floors. Level 1 is where the check in area is and level 2 is where all the rooms are located. It's a long stretch across level 2 with a total of 49 rooms. The air-conditioner is positioned too far away from the beds and it is not powerful enough to cover the entire room. The room is spacious but the shower room is small and there is an opening above the shower head area where people from the opposite building can see inside! There should be a blind to cover the opening. The quality of the towel is good. There is no place to hang clothes and towel in the shower room. WiFi is provided free of charge upon check in with user ID and password. No breakfast is provided but there are eateries around the area. TV channels are very limited. There is this weird blue light on the bed headboard which cannot be switched off. I have taken a photo of it and shared in this review. PLEASE AVOID AT ALL CAUSE!…AN ACCOMODATION TO AVOID WHEN TRAVELLING TO PENANG….The place is not strategic at all…A DEAD TOWN….The room have no window at all and the staff is not helpful….they did not inform the guest that if you want your room to be serviced….put signage at door….OMG..usually rooms does not need that to be done in order to be cleaned cis room cleaning service is a regular task…if you dont want to be disturb or does not require any room service that is when you will hang the signage….i am unstatisfied and regret to stay there….moved out earlier to another hotel…no refund allowed….one more thing…need deposit even if you have paid full….POOOR SERVICE..VERY LIMITED AMENITIES….THE SHOWER IS NOT HOT EVEN YOU TURN THE TAP MAXIMUM HOT…PLS AVOID GUYS…..IT WILL SPOIL YOUR ADVENTURE MOOD….DOES NOT...
