Tonight is my first and last time I go there. I can't comment about their food whether good or not. But for sure their service is totally bad.
I go there at 8.30pm. Still early, but I've been informed that the 'Mandy's rice is sold out. My main purpose to go there is to taste my favorites which is 'chicken mandy'.
That menu is always been my priority when I dine at Arabian restaurant. But unfortunately it's sold out early. I accepted and changed to 'chicken madghout' along with my husband is 'lamb maghgout'.
After 1 hour long wait with empty and super hungry stomach, we saw other couple that came late from us already get food and finished their dinner. What about our order? Well we wait patiently for our turn even though we feel quite annoyed that time. Plus our child's whining because they hungry. Quite challenging to manage it, but we still think positive that time.
After 15 minutes, waiter came and bring 'lamb madghout' for 2pax. A man came and said sorry because there is no chicken, it's sold out already.
They change it to lamb without asking us. Without tell us earlier, so we can cancel early and go to other restaurant. We wait for 1hour 15 minutes for this nonsense. I'm super hungry, I'm annoyed, I'm exhausted waiting for more than 1 hour and this is the result. I can't eat, I don't eat lamb.
After wasting our time for more than 1hour I don't get my food. That is absurd, we just cancel our order and go to pay for our drink. But the owner rejected to accepted the payment for drink and apologized to us. But the damaged has been done. Thanks to them, we have to go to other restaurant with a baby and a child and wait again with empty...
Read moreThis is probably the worst Arabic food that I've ever tried.
Let's start with the atmosphere. There are 2 airconds. Both are turned off. It was a bit stuffy. I can understand if the owner wants to save on electricity, but when you have customers, you should turn them on. There were only 5 customers during lunch hour. I can understand why that's the case.
Food: No tahini sauce, no hummus, no fatoush. Is this an Arabic restaurant? Arabic salad: Only 2 types of veggies and no dressing. This is the worst salad I've ever tried. Garlic sauce: Portion is too small. Arabic bread: This is basically naan bread in round shape. Not the typical Arabic bread that I come to expect. Mandi rice: The sauce is some sort of weird sauce and not the typical chilli sauce of Mandi rice. Its taste is ... below par.

Read moreThe food here has been pretty good since they started many, many years ago. The hummus is one of those nicely plated and "decorated". Over the years, probably not many customers who know how to enjoy it, they don't serve it often nowadays. They are doing Yemeni dishes which have some differences compare to other Arabic restaurants. Service is good. They tried their best to give us the next dining experience. Unfortunately, aircond is probably a big turn off. One the ground floor, there is no aircond, only fans. They have 3 aircond units on the first floor but these 1-hp units can't possibly cool down the place adequately, even when there are not many...
