So Sushi Bandar Perda — Restaurant in Penang

Food was okay, but the service was great; friendly owner and waitresses.

Smoked duck ramen was good, portion is sufficient and price is like standard Japanese Restaurant offering. The ramen / udon soup should be good, my kids finished it. Gyoza is fried instead of pan seared. Sushi options are quite limited, but it has a few unique dishes. My bento fish and chicken is okay - fish is on the drier side.

The environment is on the dimmer side, has quite good Japanese deco, walkway is quite narrow, but it is clean. They have generous table size to accommodate large family. Ample of parking space too.

I do like the fact when the food was served, the dish was place to the right person who ordered it. Excellent move… showing great customer service.

The menu is quite beaten up, could be easier if the menu is A4 size for easy flipping. Perhaps use QR code based menu. Doesn’t need to be those fancy ordering based menu, but just a file share on Google Drive that people can open. Make it a bit modern.

Negative: Open late than stated on schedule. Arrived at 12.15 noon, couldn't open the door. After gave a call, they started to open Empty conveyer when customers already come in. Under staff. Only one staff keep running here and there. Seems so tiring. The conveyer was not from the kitchen but at the centre of the restaurant. So, the staff need to bring the sushi and put it there. Some sushi were cold, seems like out from fridge Plastic glass for cold green tea Confusing menu. Better stated clearly what kind of dishes customer can choose for bento. Can save the staff time explaining...

Very good customer service. Kimchi ramen: what I can say is..super "oishi". Thumbs up!!! Love the miso soup also and mochi's flavour is good.

I am giving 4 star, so that they can improvised more especially the texture of sticky rice and also sushi is little bit cold. The staff noticed that we couldn't finish our sushi and asked us if anything is wrong with the flavor. we said that only the sticky rice is not sticky as it should be and also a little bit cold. The staff then, said sorry several time to us and also gave us another free set of sushi as substitution. Actually as a customer, i don't really asking for substitute.. only apologize would do. but this is beyond our expectation. Very polite. Definitely we will come here again. There is no reason to not order the ramen when you...
