LIKE: 1) Spacious room with exquisite interior layout reminiscence of an old factory building in Brooklyn, New York City in the early 1920s equipped with spacious lavatory. 2) Functional aircond, speedy wifi, strong water pressure and soothing hot + cold shower. 3) Comfy bed, mattress, duvet, pillow and sofas (two singles + one double). 4) Mini fridge with Chinese signage (A BIG TURN OFF FOR A NON-CHINESE SPEAKER) and a small safe box are installed with coffee maker, tea and coffee sachets. 5) Room 207 has the mountain view so it is nice to see the greens during sunrise. 6) Ample public parking lots (not sure if it is chargeable by the local Municipal). 7) Several Chinese eateries available. Less than 2km driving to/from Starbucks, Domino's Pizza and McD. DISLIKE: 1) Premise is located opposite the busy road hence a headache if you are trying to reach the hotel during peak hours. 2) No mosque and virtually no local Malay/Halal eateries available around here for Muslim patrons. 3) Room 207 seems suffering from sewer blockage as the residual water from shower was very slow to recede. Will I come again? YES DEFINITELY.

Nice hotel, 2 floor hotel. Has a cafe shop next to the reception, staff is very friendly. I gave 2 stars bcz, if u check in before 3 pm pay extra 10Rm($2,50), when we enter the room smells like old and dusty, room is okay clean. U have amethyst(flip flops, toothbrush, shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, dryer etc). The bathroom, especially the shower on the bottom looks very moldy. And the noise from other rooms is very loud, in the bathrooms u here everything from neighboring, everything when they took shower, flush speak etc. that’s why I gave only 2 stars. Good price 108Rm($25) including all the taxes and fees.we had a room with no window( we knew since we booked). Hotel is no smoking(penalty 100Rm). The design of the hotel is vintage&industrial.

Actually i came on 2022 once, at that time is very newly open. Again this time i am revisit to this hotel, i found this hotel needed huge maintenance. Overall staff is friendly and helpful. In room bathroom need grounding, visibly can see black stain mold. Bedroom bed and duvet is comfy, room size is good compare to other similar hotel. I like the strong water pressure. Overall will consider if i will be back or not, but management really need to look into it for the maintenance in order to maintain the standard.

today is my second visit.

during my first visit, once entre to the lobby, found out the staff not even wearing face mask. I asked him/her to wear it, the person show black face to me. Have I done anything wrong? (0micron and Deltacron was out there still). Room cleanliness was good. overall, good stay. Parking outside of hotel no need put parking coupon.

since i asked the staff to wear the face mask, and he/she did wear immediately (even showing black face like i owe a million), it's ok lah, so i decided to come back on my next business trip, ok, which is today (after 2 weeks from first visit). when walked in to the lobby, omg, worst thing happen. same no-wear-face-mask staff, still not wearing face mask, and talking to a guy who sit inside the reception area, talk talk talk, WITHOUT FACE MASK. when i walk to the counter to check in, the staff not aware of not wearing face mask, or just dont care?? I already malas wanna tell this staff to wear it, he/she no longer a baby boy or kid. Please check your CCTV recording, date: 24th Jan 2021, time 11pm-11.45pm. Not sure if your CCTV working well? or else why management not aware of this?

I have some questions to the management / owner of this hotel.

Is all your staffs in hotel aware of COVID-19 Prevention SOP? Or is it your staff have very low salary and can't afford to buy face mask, can management please provide 3ply face mask to them? especially the front desk, even 4ply face mask very cheap now ok. or the management just don't care, or pretending do not know anything about this? may be wanna do some periodically check on CCTV?

This is a very comfortable hotel, i really love everything about this hotel, except the SOP compliance.

i think I would not come in again for my next...

Originally booking to stay for a number of nights, we ended up checking out within a day. Why? We were sold by the aesthetically pleasing lobby, but quickly found the rooms and service unfortunately did not reflect the same.||||- The Aircon would not cool the room despite being on all night - it felt the control panel was a deceptive tool; ||- the room was not clean - there was dust all over the skirting boards, table, lamps, bathroom floor - then when I opened the curtain, a big dust cloud spread across the room; ||- the linen was not clean and smelt of the body odour of the previous guests. I had to convince the cleaners to change it;|| - The bathroom floor was poorly built, tilting at the opposite end, so would flood with stagnant water within minutes;||- despite us and the hotel staff spraying insect repellent throughout the night, we were bitten multiple times; ||- we paid for a window/view, but there was no insulation to keep the noise from the roads out, we hardly slept. ||||Having stayed in multiple hostels, boutique hotels and homestays across Asia, this was honestly a 2 star service across the board. From hygiene, cleanliness, to hesitation from the staff recognising the issues we faced, sadly, this hotel failed to hit the mark. ||||The hotel eventually recognised our concerns the next morning and provided us with a refund for the following unused nights- but this took an entire morning and was a confusing process given we had booked through a well-known third party website, the hotel had put a damage deposit on our card and paid the tourist tax in cash. ||||Built for the aesthetically pleasing insta-crowds - if you seek a clean, comfortable stay away from home (that actually matches the decor of the lobby) this...

The front counter service needs to improve on their hospitality and courtesy… I arrived around 12.30pm and was told the check in was at 3pm eventhough it stated 2pm. So I showed the receptionist and told her to make sure the website is accurate because we could have gone for lunch first as that hour makes a difference. Then she “suddenly” changed her mind and said that we could check in at 2pm. We then went to get coffee and came back at 1.30pm and asked if the room was ready by any chance. The male receptionist (changed shift I think) called room service and confirmed that the room was indeed ready but they would need to charge us RM30 for 30 min early check in…. Ive never visited a single hotel in my life that charged for goodwill period. if a room happened to be vacant already in spite of the official check in timing, hotels ALWAYS ensure guests are taken care of. Anyway, we finally went up at 2pm and saw a notice in the room saying late check out is billable at RM15/hour. So based on the logic, early check in should be billed at RM15, not 30. See what I mean by bad hospitality? Not only were they extremely calculative, gave wrong information about check in timing, but tried to pull one up on us with the extra charges. Beware also, the location is extremely poor, with no convenience shops nor proper cafes nor restaurants around the area, save for 1 cinnamon bun cafe. Nearest mall or restaurant requires grab of about RM15 to grab over. Room was clean, aircon seemed to be not working, did not sleep well. We were staying in another hotel in Ipoh before this, but they did not have rooms left for our last night so we booked this hotel. But we will definitely not be back next time. Beware of...
