Serious Security Concern – Room 220
We stayed at this hotel for a few days on a business trip, and one of my colleagues was assigned Room 220, where a serious security incident occurred.
During the night, someone attempted to open the door to the room. Thankfully, the door guard lock was engaged—otherwise, the intruder could have entered directly. It became evident that the main door lock was faulty and failed to secure the room properly.
We immediately reported the incident to the hotel reception and requested to review the CCTV footage outside the room. Shockingly, we were informed that the CCTV was not functioning.
This situation is extremely alarming and calls into question the hotel's overall safety standards. A non-functioning lock and inactive surveillance system pose a serious risk to all guests.
This review serves as a warning to future visitors: always double-check your room lock and ensure the door guard is used. We strongly urge the hotel management to treat this matter with urgency and improve their security measures...
Read moreA trip to visit family and a second visit to Sitiawan. Mornington is located in the heart of old Sitiawan town, within walking distance to a variety of food options and shops. Most of the town runs straight along a cross-section of 4 main roads so if not walking, everything is 5-15 mins drive away. There are (only) 4 floors of rooms so not overcrowded and no wait for the lifts. We stayed on the 4th floor in a deluxe room which had ample space and mini lounge separate from the bedroom. Tea/coffee and a minibar (really hard to find a hotel in town that offered this) in the room with a great hot shower had us well covered for the stay. There is free secure parking across the road and sufficient street parking right in front of the hotel. Courteous reception staff were ever ready to assist and made for a very pleasant stay. No onsite restaurant but we found everything from breakfast to late night supper without having to jump in the car and drive around in search of food. Be...
Read moreStayed for one night as had a cycling event the following morning. Was not expecting much from this hotel considering it is rated 2 star. Had a pleasant surprise indeed.||The room we booked was spacious (fits 2 bicycles easily), had a sitting area, a kitchenette with induction cooker, small fridge and hot water kettle. Complimentary mineral water bottles and coffee. Bathroom had a shower and a hot tub. Both room and bathroom were very clean. In fact general cleanliness is good. Bathroom amenities were basic. Suggest to bring own soap and shower gel. ||Check-in and check-out was easy and not complicated. Private parking available for hotel guests but if full, ample of street parking available nearby.||There’s a delicious tom yam restaurant opposite the hotel and several other eateries within walking distance. ||Definitely would recommend if you’re...
