Given the fact we arrived just as the cafe opened for lunch, service was good since we were the only ones there for a while. Unfortunately, the cafe was preparing for a private event the same evening, and there was quite a lot of hammering and drilling going on preparing the decorations etc.
The award winning petai fried kway teow was excellent with just enough spiciness. Loved the masterful wok hei. If you like petai and am not afraid of the smell, do give this a try.
The smoked duck aglio olio lacked chilli flakes and was just missing the umami expected of this simple yet difficult to master dish.
The cranberry and smoked duck salad could have done with more smoked duck, but otherwise was an acceptable salad.
The cheese baked chicken rice was a huge serving enough for 2. Cheesy and fragrant, it was quite a meal on its own.

Read moreLovely place. Did not expect sitiawan to have such a cozy and wonderful cafe. The hot chocolate was abit tasteless, but the coffee my dad had was pretty good. It was really strong and really kept my dad awake the whole journey back to kl. Price was reasonable. Coffee price ranged from rm7-10. Super cheap compared to cafes back in kl/Ipoh. The salted egg croissant cannot be missed! Super nice. If you like to order liu sah pao in dim sum shop, confirm you would like this. Only complain I have is the cafe is abit too small. If you're a clumsy person like me, have to be really careful because tables are packed...

The jam that came with the bread basket was pretty good, maybe could give slightly more olive oil and balsamic vinegar. All the bread were nice and toasty. Would recommend this as a snack.
Quite enjoyed the passion fruit cheese cake. Slightly sour and creamy. The cake paired very nicely with the santan sprinkled on it. Def would rec it.
The "lemon & leaves" matcha tea was quite mid. Prob not my kind of thing. It was too sour for me and had a grassy taste to it....
