We checked in at almost midnight. No problem as the counter is open 24/7. Our stay was 4 nights. On the night we checked in, I walked bare footed in the room & found the floor quite dusty. I mentioned it to the receptionist the next day & after that, everything was cleaned well every day. For stay that is more than one night, you have to request for room cleaning. The cleaners do not go into your room without permission. I would request for room cleaning each day when I was going out for a few hours at least. The toiletries that we have used are replenished each day. There is even a shower cap which many budget hotels now no longer provide. 2 bottles of drinking water are given daily & there is also a drinking water machine you can use for free. The quality of the water is good, no chlorine taste. The TV has only local channels. The room was mostly quiet except for occasional honking of cars. Location is good & safe even when late at night. There are all sorts of food shops, from coffee shops to restaurants. Watson & Guardian are on the same row as the hotel. We had good roast duck dinner less than 5 mins walk away. There are 3 convenient marts nearby. The public market is 2 mins away & there is a hawker food court beside it. All clean with many types of food offered. Cons: There were a few spots in the room that showed wear & tear as you can see from my photos but It did not affect our comfort. I dislike that there is only a rain shower which means we would get our heads totally wet each time we shower and the shower head is almost right above the toilet bowl meaning it is all wet after our shower. In fact, the whole bathroom gets wet. Unfortunately the hose for cleaning after toilet use is just left lying on the floor. I don't know why the management doesn't bother to put in a...
Read moreI read most of the low-star comments before booking, but I still chose to stay here because of the great location and its proximity to my event. Due to the reviews, I even left a simple request: "Please make sure the bed is clean."
Unfortunately, the issues mentioned in the other comments are very real. The first room I was given had multiple problems: the bed had marks, the room had a weird smell, the toilet floor was wet, and there was rubbish still in the bin. The light switch was also broken and missing its cover.
I was able to switch rooms, and the second one was slightly better, but issues persisted. The wardrobe was a bit broken, and the towels in both rooms were old, worn, and had loose threads. The sight of an unlocked storage closet left open also felt unprofessional. Came the next morning. I woke up with my skin feeling itchy all over, especially on my hair, hands, and legs. Given the overall condition of the room, this was very concerning and made me seriously question the cleanliness of the linens
Overall, the biggest issue is still cleanliness. I'm glad I only booked one night and planned to be out for the entire day. If I were to visit this area again, I would definitely pay more to stay at a...
Read moreWe were there in mid August, 17 for one night only, and stayed at their twin bedded superior room with window. Check in was smooth as there was no one in the reception office. The whole hotel seemed quite empty. The lady was o.k. , but most of my questions raised to her such as the locations of the eating houses which we aimed to visit, she just shook her head. The hotel charge was RM129.00. They have a lift which took us to their 2nd floor . The room faced the back alley, so was quiet. The room was clean and tidy but definitely was rather small. Well, we chose this hotel because of its location .The bathroom was open and after I took a shower the whole toilet room became wet. However due to humidity next morning it was dry up again.Beware there was no safe deposit safe in the room though it said so in their website. There was coffee and tea supplies with an electric kettle. Towels , not so happy with them as they appeared very ||old.Otherwise it is good for...
