SUCCESS BREEDS ARROGANCE? @ Rekindle Cafe SS2 Tactless & Unkind Customer Handling : My Friends & I were 'Chased Out' by Jason (says he's the Owner) after being served our order of Cakes & Drinks ...

Service Attitude The Issue was over a packet of chest nuts that I was munching on as we were entering the Cafe ... I was still munching my chest nuts when the cafe 'lady staff' brought over our order, and proceeded to 'boldly lecture' us on their Cafe's 'no outside food Policy' ... I was promptly taken aback in the manner & tone which I wasn't able to accept and I 'retaliated' with the same 'tone' (being an 'elder' in our Malaysian Social Order added to my reluctance to take such 'nonsense' customer service attitudes) ... It is Not about the 'No Outside Food Issue' - ATTITUDE is Certainly EVERYTHING!!

Offence or Humility? The Owner Jason promptly appeared and started attempted to give me a 'Lecture', not apologetically nor amicably, but with the Flavour of 'Let me Teach this RUDE Customer a Lesson'! Obviously, I was in No Mood to Listen and I Made that Absolutely CLEAR!! He then 'Evicted' us from the Premises and Promptly Refunded our Money ...

Guess What!? Some of Cakes are Uniquely Liquor-infused (... tasted nice & different, which got me going a few times, always bringing some new Buddies along, plus my online Recommendations) ... I came before in 2020. It felt like stepping out of 2023 and stumbling into 2020. Revisiting Rekindle really did rekindle all the magic of the past. Its magic holds time and memory together well.

I love the small-ness of the tables. I believe that people don’t need a lot to survive and live well. I love the compactness of the cafe. Although I came here twice by myself, I believe it’s a very good place for dating and chatting up with close friends. It rekindles and knits people together quite well.

I spent some time there doing some personal reflection, sipping icy Americano. It helped me rekindle the sacred relationship I once had with myself. Over the years, after MCO and things started getting busy, I’ve lost my sacred lone time. Spending the night in the cafe sort of rekindled that deep focus lone time back. I left the shop with a rekindled depth, understanding myself in a deeper level of details.

Cafes are special places. They’re soulful, and serve deeper sense of purpose. I believe cafe more than sells food and drinks and atmosphere. I believe souls need food. And our souls identify the magic they need to consume in places they love to go. It’s their “unique bright places”. Rekindle is one of my personal soul “bright places”.

Cafe style selling few Cakes with alcohol and also variety of non alcohol cakes.

Food : 4/5 ⭐ Ordered a cup of Americano (Rm12), Watermelon Cake (with strawberry on top) (Rm19.50), Mocha Caramel with Rum (Rm19), Salted Caramel with Whisky, Black Forest with Rum and a bottle drinking water 500m (Rm3). Price are not cheap for a piece of cake.

Americano ☕ taste more on bitter. Latter are just ok. Watermelon Cake 🍉🍰 (Non-alchohol) it only available on Saturday and Sunday, Taste not too sweet, felt freshness after bite of cake.

Mocha Caramel with Rum although is not the best seller for them, it taste not too rich of Choclate, not so sweet, not so creamy.... and felt is a good combination with the caramel and the 🍷Rum taste. Like this much as all the ingredients of this cake are matched + Well Combination 😍

Black Forest with Rum, the alcohol taste are taste strong especially on the bite of berry😖.

Salted Caramel with Whisky, taste still within the well combinated. 🙂

The cafe is not serving drinking water for free as they are selling by bottle.

Atmosphere : 3/5 ⭐ Soft downy in door as they are using yellow lighting, air-conditioners was not so cooling during the noon times.... The temperature in the room makes me slightly sweating.

Nothing to talk about service. Order and pay at counter, thereafter they will bring you foods. But... Their staff are friendly to introduce / recommended to us their cakes.

Overall recommend and worth to try out...
