Room was ok. Clean, except I found a small cockroach and also mosquito, no wonder they supplied the aerosol in advance. There is a bathtub and a balcony. I saw big rat going in and out of the drain outside the balcony (I got ground floor room, so its expected). So you better be careful and keep your balcony door closed to prevent rat from entering, if you stay at ground floor. The shower door cannot be opened fully as the bathtub blocks its path. And the fridge is empty, not what I expected for a hotel rated five star.
The service? The reception allows me to check in early at 1:30pm as soon as the room are available, which is good. But I was annoyed when the Bangla worker pressed my doorbell to give additional towel. I already got two towels, I wonder why the additional? Also, the breakfast was damn late. If you say the breakfast starts at 7am then do it at 7am... I know they are probably gotten used to malay hotel patrons habit of having breakfast late (most of the patrons on that day are malays with families, but I guess they are also patrons on other days too), but you should stick to your schedule regardless of what culture/habit your patrons are embracing. I arrived at the breakfast place (Verandah) very early before 7am. But when I entered, the only available food are the continental menus and the drinks, and I have to wait until 730am to have the main courses (even at 730am, not all main courses are served!). I even overheard that one of the kitchen workers said to her colleague that they should delayed further the fried noodle (to wait for more guests to come I guessed) whereby the time was at 7:20am already. How more delay you want it to be? The selection of menu is not much too. I felt disappointed and left after taking a few bites of continental breakfast and the potato cubes.
There is no convenience store inside and no vending machines. But there are plenty of high-end restaurants with performing bands. I never tried these restaurants, not because I couldnt afford it, but I dont feel like eating fancy and overpriced menus, so luckily this hotel allows outside food. So I just ordered Grab.
The location of the hotel is quite far from any shoplots and township, its a resort so its expected. You have to use Grab car or taxi or own transport to get here as there is no public transport nearby. The scenery is beautiful with greeneries inside and surrounding its perimeter, with stoned pathway crossing the watershed garden and swimming pool in the middle of the resort (perfect for wedding photography or to show off at Insta), and the hotel rooms are organised as blocks of storeyed chalets straddling all over the resort (its quite huge they even provided a map for you to navigate around). Its a perfect weekend getaway place for families who want to heal from the hustle and bustle of city life, or a dating couple wanting to find a quite 'hanky-panky' time together. But please be careful as the room is not soundproof and you can still hear noise from the corridor such as children screaming and adults talking, and they may also eavesdrop your voice too...
Read moreGood Day, My husband and me just wanted a small break so we decided to stay here. Just ONE NIGHT.ok this was our experience.
The receptionist Syawal was pleasant. Our check in was smooth. Then we decided to have so brunch we went to the Verandah 12pm till 4pm only during puasa month. We waited for one hour. The guy who attended to us was not friendly at all. They were all grouchy and papaya looking face.
We ordered our food..char kuey teow and meehoon siam plus Lamb Shank..
But the so called Lamb Shank that arrived was tough..semi cooked..
The char kuey teow and meehoon.. tasteless.the prawns they gave with noodles..were with shell and head..did not clean. ( Kasi orang makan macam sampah?)
I spoke to the manager...told him to cancel the stale food from my bill. Then my Husband and me decided to go out and eat..and we came back. We rested.
We woke up around 10am..and tried calling for Room service..the lines engaged..we were trying for One hour ..finally..the room service called us back..
Very bad Room service...please kindly improve.
So we just ordered pancakes and coffee
I really need to Say this..:
The Rooms are spacious and location..the nature in this place is pleasant...perfect! BUT....
The services are Zero !! I would kindly recommend your resort in putting in effort in maintaining the service here..Please TRAIN YOUR STAFF TO BE PROFESSIONALS!
Do some hospitality course on how to be efficient and serving your clients! IF YOU ALL CANNOT SERVE..US NONS ...DURING PUASA MONTH..PLEASE KINDLY CLOSE THE RESORT OR PUT NOTICE NO FOOD WILL BE SERVED DURING THIS MONTH .
We have been to countless 5 Star hotels in Malaysia and elsewhere...we never had any issues even during puasa month. Please kindly Buck up.. and You know what no one is staying here for Free..
Finally, I would say your Spa was Great..but one more issue: Please have both Male and Female spa attendents. So the male will attend to the Gentlemen And the Lady will attend to the Ladies. Thats professionalisme and Please Respect your Clients!
You have a Beautiful Resort...but very very poor management! I hope the management Change or Improve in the near future!
Its sad how a Beautiful place is very very very poorly Managed!
Please clean your swimming pools near the spa too. ..there are soo dirty..and murky.
Above all...I would thank you fir this experience..for now we would not recommend this place to anyone..till its improved. We are Malaysians ...We can do...
Read moreWhen we arrived we checked into the room, we were told at the front desk the kitchen will serve food up until 11pm. When we called for room service at 10pm we had heard the kitchen was already closed for the evening. A bit irritating but we were not phased. The next day we enjoyed the pool and also walking around the compound, which was nice. Two nights before we had to leave the card to open the door did not work. We saw a staff member close and asked him to help, he looked less than pleased. When I went to report the card not working, I was rather questioned about why the card is not in its designated holder. I didnt get the staff member’s name at the front desk but this guy had a very poor attitude. He wears glasses and about 1.72 metres tall. The evening before we had to leave, my wife and I had a cleat plan. Get our bags packed, she was looking forward to a nice bath and then we would have an early night. Once she made our toddler to sleep, I went to sit on the couch when I heard a strange sound coming from behind the curtain. Once I put the lights on a rodent ran from the bin to the corner of the room. Upon seeing this I called the front desk, guess who is on duty? Yip, same guy with the glasses. I tell him there’s a rodent in the room, at first he asked “what should I do”? - maybe I was missing something. I told him we cant stay in the room with a rodent there because we have a toddler sleeping in the cot. After calling a second time, he says they are going to move rooms for us. A few minutes later he shows up at the door and asks if we’re ready to move rooms. As I stand there, very upset, he asks why are the bags not packed and why are we not ready??!! Didnt even offer to help at all. He then leaves without helping and says he will talk to his manager. A while later the manager shows up, doesnt say much, at least helps with the packed bags and moves us to a new room. Doesnt apologise AT ALL for the inconvenience. The following say when we had to check out, we asked if a staff cart could get us at the room to help with our luggage. THE SAME GUY WITH THE GLASSES is on duty again!! He answers the phone and says he will send someone in 15 minutes, because this is what I requested. 25 minutes later still no one at the door, I call again, and he is filled with excuses. When we finally get to the lobby of the hotel he doesnt even have the decency to come out of the office to do his job. A hotel porter had to check us out. This was a poor experience and shows how one staff member with a poor attitude can lower the experience of guests. We were not very impressed by...
