The atmosphere at the restaurant is cozy and inviting, which initially made for a pleasant experience. The service was acceptable; our waiter was polite and wore a smile throughout our visit. However, for an Italian restaurant, the absence of San Pellegrino was a bit disappointing.The biggest letdown was the food. Given the prices, I expected higher quality. Starting with the bread, it was just a soft bun—nothing like the ciabatta, focaccia, or breadsticks one would anticipate at an authentic Italian eatery. We ordered the gnocchi and pizza, hoping for a true Italian taste. Unfortunately, the pomodoro sauce on the gnocchi tasted like something you could get from a convenience store, and the gnocchi itself was too large and undercooked. The pizza dough was also thick and undercooked, leaving us unable to finish it.What surprised me the most was that neither the waiter nor the manager inquired about our meal or why so much food was left uneaten. Food is alright but service is poor and slow. Assuming if it was full house, it is understandable but we were the only table with 6 people and yet they forgot our orders of salad and pesto spaghetti. Servers are not well trained as they are all over when trying to reset the table and making so much noise with the clanking of utensils and stuff. You almost feel so embarrassed for them. This is what I call lacking in finesse. They were not attentive and you have to constantly ask the server to refill the empty glasses with water. They may call themself an Italian bistro, but sadly they are not even close as far as service is concerned. You can almost sense no teamwork especially to booboo on such straight forward orders. Brought my friend to Bistro Cascata to celebrate her birthday.

I pre-ordered my set meal and requested if the restaurant could do something special for my guest. Mr Ameerul, the manager of the restaurant and his team did an excellent job in setting up decorations, providing live birthday song and a cake with personalised birthday wordings.

My guest was totally thrilled and surprised by the well planned arrangements. My guest and I had an extremely good and unforgettable time at your restaurant.

Service was excellent, staff was courteous, polite and friendly. Food was delicious. Both my guest and I loved the 5 course meal from the beginning till the end.
