I was loyal Sebulek customer since they first opened. Even the old staffs knew me and my fave drink. They were my #1 nasi campur place because they had the most variety of vegetable dish, and a cosy feeling with the kampung decorations and wallpaper of paddy fields. They even used wooden ladles and ceramic bowls to serve their lauk in. So cool. The pots even had fire underneath to keep all lauks warm. Very nice and homely chill-out place. Clean, spacious. Shoutout to Ruby, Mary, and Fuad (nescafe fuad is the best)!
However, now 2022, when they reopened under new mngmt, they changed their image and removed the kampung feeling of the eatery. They're now more modern-looking and they removed some veggie dish in place of new items on the menu. Lauk also forever cold because no fire or heater. I personally think they lost their identity and I'm sad because Sebulek has been in my life for so long, but god things don't last forever.
Update 2023: Their food is still ok (just still cold)... Now has a bit more veggie choice, yay. I suggest Sebulek to have food heater because masakan panas is...
ย ย ย Read moreThis place is fantastic! They have a variety of Malaysian local foods that you can choose from. You just have to pick your dishes by yourself and go to the cashier to order your drink. The cashier will count the price of your food and drink and then you can go to your table. The food is mouth-watering and satisfying. The restaurant is only open during weekdays, so don't miss it.
The staff are friendly and helpful. They will serve your drink and check on you if you need anything. The drinks are refreshing and complement the food well. The restaurant is always clean and neat. They have a nice ambience and a cozy atmosphere.
The only downside is the parking. It can be hard to find a spot near the restaurant, especially during peak hours. However, there is a building behind the restaurant that has ample parking space. You just have to walk a bit to get to the restaurant.
Overall, I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Malaysian local foods. It's worth every penny and every bite. I give...
ย ย ย Read moreThis place serves my favourite dish and that is assam pedas ikan pari. This is one of the dish i cannot get fed up eating and can eat it daily. But today i went for lunch and took the assam pedas and the minute i put the rice in my mouth i spat it out, because of the fishy smell of the fish that it is in the gravy. But over the the week I commented that the assam pedas has a fishy smell and the taste is not as before as it is tasteless. They have reduces the amount of food they cook and they do not open for dinner. The quality of food has dropped and this is sad. Currently, they have office crowd going there as not much choice here so thats that. I would not recommend eating here and they were doing so well but we do not know what went wrong but no matter what is the problem the food quality must...
