save for how to visit Bacalar & where to stay!👇 📍 Bacalar, Mexico is easily one of the most stunning places I’ve ever been And it’s not insanely touristy! Yet… 🚉 Mexico is building a train that will connect Cancun to Bacalar - & I’m keeping my fingers crossed they will do anything they can do protect the natural resources that make Bacalar a true natural wonder 🛣 until then, it’s pretty easy to visit Bacalar as long as you’re willing to take an extra step! 🚙 we rented a car and make the very easy drive from Cancun Airport - 4 hr drive from Cancun, 2.5 from Tulum 🚍 if you don’t want to rent a car, you can easily take the ADO bus from Cancun/Tulum For $30-$40 🛌 if you can swing it price wise I HIGHLY recommend staying on the waterfront since you’ll get way better opportunities to enjoy the fresh water lagoon 🚣‍♀️ we stayed at Casa Bakal which has free kayaks/paddle boards & I highly recommend! 🧴 PS: don’t wear sunscreen in the lagoon & don’t pee in it!!
