I spent a really lovely afternoon here. The staff were v friendly. The lagoon is so beautiful.
$200 for a Day Pass which includes 45 min kayak and access to the small infinity pool. . I was also given a free drink with Mezcal.
I ordered lunch and was v impressed by it all being beautifully presented and generous in portion. I couldn't finish the fries - the bowl was huge! The fish tacos were delicious (the fish was a little overcooked though).
I also had a non alcoholic "frambesa" which was the perfect ice cold refreshing drink on such a hot afternoon.
The not-so-good stuff? The music was a little loud for my taste and not my style.
Also the pool water seemed a little unclean - the surface seemed oily and a put me off going in.
❗️When entering the lagoon/cenotes, it's prohibited to use sunscream and repellant etc to keep them pristine. So I was really sad to see people using suncreams and I could smell the repellant 😭 In order that these beautiful places stay pristine, they must be managed well to keep the water clean and free of chemicals. Read moreThe experience was horrible. 250 pesos gets you nothing. Food requires extra. 3500 pesos to get shade. Public area has 4 chairs under the shade and all others are exposed to direct sun. I asked them o put some umbrella but they said no. Waiters are not super helpful. I asked the manager and nothing can be done.
Then we went to Mia Luxury hotel and spa. Where the service is excellent. Plenty of shade and only 200 pesos to use the facility. Food is much better there and we loved the experience over there.
This place however is taking advantage of the good location but provide horrible service. They even told us you can leave if you don’t like it. So we left.
I highly suggest people to get day pass at a hotel where the food is included in the pass so you only pay 1200 pesos with 1000 credit for food and only 200 for the pass. The experience is way better and the food is much...
Read moreWATCH OUT - we had money stolen from our locker. We arrived 10 minutes before a boat tour with the beach club and put our valuables straight in their lockers. When we returned, 5000 pesos had been stolen from our wallet.
The beach club then offered to source CCTV for us, but once they had seen it they refused to share it with us. They stopped replying to us and refused to co-operate after that. They also accused us of writing a review which another couple had left - who had also had money stolen.
We had no choice but to spend our holiday filing a police report.
This was a real shame as we’d had a lovely day at the beach club previously - the waiters and waitresses were lovely and the pool area was great. It seems there’s just one or two members of staff letting the side down by stealing...
