Casa Cielo — Hotel in Baja California Sur

Booking the trip was easy and the accomodations were excellent. Diego was a great concierge! The Chef was great! The home was beautiful and the oceanviews were breath taking. But we had one incidence...one of my invited guests developed red fine bumps possible bed bug bites all over her body and c/o that something was biting her when she was in the bed. When we examined the mattress covering from one of the king beds upstair she was sleeping in, we found the mattress padding was dirty, tattered and had the appearance of beg bugs waste. We contacted the manager and owner. They immediately responded...exterminated the room, changed and replaced the mattress pad and linens. So of course after that incidence, everyone checked their mattresses padding and covering and we found 2 more mattress paddings were clean but worn and tattered. But the manager and owner flat out denied the "bed bugs". The owner never aplogized but did offer a small refund to my guest involved but my husband and I thought his offer was insufficent and in our opinion the compensation should have been more under the circumstances. Doing our conversation, the owner became very irate and defensive... even saying "to immediately vacate his property and he would refund our money" Also he said to me "don't tear my house up." Now being of African American descent and a professional women, I felt some kinda way that his comments were demeaning, inappropriate and insulting. All of my invited guests are professionals and upstanding people and when they learned of his comments, they too felt his comments were very inappropriate and insulting. Where his comments came from, I don't know or understand!! We had spoken once or twice but mostly responded through emails and I thought he was a upstanding business man. I thought his entire property and home was beautiful! And I would have considered renting his property again if it wasn't for the negative handling of...

This is the best place to stay !!! Not only were the views incredible but the accommodations were sublime! Bobby (the host) is sooooo helpful! He helped us organize getting a car, getting a chef, working with his concierge, and much more!

It’s so close to the most beautiful beach and they have coolers and stuff to take with you down there!

It’s close to all the fun things to do - defiantly recommend getting a car, rather than Uber.

It’s super safe as well, which was a big concern with a group of girls.

Lastly - the grocery store is SO close and a COVID testing unit is across the street from the store.
