Fresko La Comer Palmilla — Local services in Baja California Sur

UNSAFE. I was just assaulted by a couple inside the Fresko Supermarket in the fruit and vegetable section ( 2PM on a Tuesday). I was able to catch the thief in the act and struggled with him to recover my wallet, he finally let go because of my yelling for help and security. He walked away with his shopping cart into the aisles. The most disappointing part of this incident was that there was a security agent no more than 5 feet away and at least 3-4 employees only steps away - yet no-one did anything. I continued to call for help and followed the thief through the aisles pointing him out to employees and security and again ... NO HELP AT ALL. Feeling completely violated, unsafe I decided to leave Fresko for my own safety , ran to my car and drove home. DO NOT carry large handbag, leave unattended, talk with strangers nor rely on security for...

Fresko is one of the two best supermarkets in San Jose Del Cabo. The other is Chedraui at the traffic circle coming from the airport.

Fresko is never crowded, and in my opinion has the best selection of specialty items food wise.It has a very good vegetable and fruit section, and the wine/alcohol section is also very good, with lots of inventory.

However the bakery section at Chedraui is significantly superior.

Right now (8/12) Chedraui is doing a better job of sanitation as they not only temperature test you at the door and give you hand sanitizer, they also spray and wipe down the cart in front of you. Fresko today was not cleaning the cart as you collected it. They may be doing that when they bring the carts in from outside, but I prefer to see the cart being cleaned right in front of me to be sure it has...

This store is a bit on the pricey side. But they have high-end foodstuffs. They have a great selection of wine beer champagne fruits vegetables pastries a full-blown Starbucks like coffee shop and everything you could possibly dream of. It's not what I would call cheap but very good quality. Staff is very helpful and store is meticulously cleaned. I shop here all the time and it is about 1 km long kind of dangerous walk to the Hampton Hilton inn. This is the place to get jamon Serrano an organic fresh squeezed orange juice. I bought a quart of fresh squeezed organic orange juice and it was around 6 US dollars so not what I would call economical but...
