Had a great time here and in La paz in general. Hotel is nicely situated north end of the Malecon...prob about as far as you want to be from the center without a car. We walked to the center to eat and enjoyed l long leisurely walks back to the hotel at sunset. The grounds were cute, pool was the perfect temp, staff was incredibly nice. Palm trees are lovely ...Our room was the basic studio so no fridge or stove and was on the ground floor. If I could do again, I would spend more for a second floor unit and kitchenette...just to have a fridge for storing some drinks and snacks. But having to eat at the amazing restaurant / bakery next door was quite the treat - super yummy spit that seemed popular with non hotel folks as well. Also, rite across the street was a small beach that led to an amazing sandbar so we could just walk from our room to the sea and get a nice swim in, and then return to the pool as well. The snorkel tour boat picked us up by docking in the water rite across the street from the hotel. Hot tub was not hot at all, and shower pressure was a bit weak. But still highly recommend this spot, esp...
Read moreCharming hotel for our family holiday over Xmas. Booked 4 rooms and all of them were great. Two of the twin rooms had kitchenettes which were unexpected and a bonus allowing us to cook meals in room if we wanted. Our second floor one bedroom suite with kitchen, was lovely, with a view onto the pool and a bit of the waterfront across the street. The beds are comfy and the living area with table and sofas was wonderful in the evenings, if we weren’t on the balcony enjoying the evening sun. Pool was kept clean all the time but is not heated. Still great for a refreshing dip on a hot day!
Front desk was great. Welcoming and always available. Brenda, in particular, was incredible, helping us arrange a whale shark tour after ours was cancelled last minute due to port closure on Xmas day. She is incredible and a real asset to the El Moro staff! We will definitely return. I was pleasantly surprised with our stay considering this is a three star...
Read moreGreat customer service. The gentleman at the check in counter was very nice and courteous. The young lady who helped us at check out was terrific, providing us with driving directions, suggesting a.place for breakfast and helping us with reservation for a tour. The hotel is in a great location, maybe that was the reason why it was 24 dollars more than comparable hotels. The room was clean, and furnished with just the basics, but it is a little outdated. The head board shaped like a sea shell is a bit much and I think it gives the room a cheap feel. The shower puts out just enough water for a warm shower. The towels were very hard and small. The air conditioner worked well enough to keep up with 90+ degree outside temperature. The room did ok, we were not planing on spending the whole day indoors. Rooms are arange as a little village around a very nice garden and the pool was nice. I would give the staff a 5 star rating, they...
