I really don't understand businesses that risk their credibility in order to overcharge a customer 10-15USD.

First, the food was ok. My tuna roll had the tuna dry. I'm guessing that's the recipe. I didn't like it too much, but was okay to eat. The side rice was "modest". The tuna dish was good. The nigiri were a bit dry too, both salmon and tuna (this is definitely not expected).

Here's where it went south: First: our waiter brought us 2 extra sides of rice instead of the one we asked. I didn't say anything but at the end I discovered the rice was 260mxn. Of course, extra side of rice is nowhere to be found in the menu (I checked), so they can charge whatever they feel like you'd pay. Then, when I paid I gave her the card and said charge in pesos (which is exactly what they should do anyway and it's the law). When she gave me the receipt I noticed it was charged in USD, naturally with a bad exchange rate and an additional 5% margin exchange rate. Third, I went to check with the cashier, who brought the guy in charge and he said that they didn't charge in USD, when the receipt was clearly stating "moneda de la transacction: USD".

I have restaurants that I go to each time I'm in LaPaz. This one made it on my "to avoid" list, and I encourage you to check your bill catefully if you decide you...

The ambiance at Sushito is truly fantastic, complemented by captivating views of El Malecon. Our server provided excellent service, going above and beyond by presenting us with pictures of sushi rolls not featured on the menu. Intrigued, we decided to explore the offerings from the "secret" menu. Despite the extended wait, approximately an hour for our party of 10 to receive our orders, the anticipation was met with delight as the sushi rolls were exceptional.

However, the extended wait time was not only limited to our food. Unfortunately, there was a hiccup with my drink order, and I was initially served the wrong beverage. Regrettably, it took over 20 minutes for the server's assistant to rectify the mistake and bring the correct drink to my table. This delay was a bit disappointing, considering the overall positive experience we had with the food and ambiance. Despite these minor hiccups, the unique and delectable sushi options made the visit to...

The Sushi here is SO good and very tasty! I ordered the Chu Roll and wow, it just had so much flavor! Definitely worth the hype! The only downfall here is the table service. The staff is very courteous and very professional, but there's no organization amongst the table staff. I had to ask multiple staff members for one straw as well as the check. We never had the same person take care of us, which led to a lot of confusion amongst them of what was already in order. But aside from that, it was a great experience! Great atmosphere and the music isn't super loud like at other places. Overall, I do recommend checking it out! The food is really good, but do expect to be waiting quite a while to receive your food and try and order what you need at once considering that if you try to do it later, it will be a while before you get it. They accept both cash and card, and don't have their own parking lot, but there is plenty of free street...

Located in a prime spot along the Malecón, Sushito offers a very different take on sushi—definitely not what you’d expect if you’re from a coastal city in Canada or the USA. It’s a Mexican twist on Japanese sushi, packed with extra flavour, clearly catered to local tastes. We ordered a few rolls, and while the flavours were interesting, they were also a bit confusing. The ambience is nice, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so you can enjoy people-watching during busy evenings. Service was prompt and reliable. Overall, it’s a unique, hybrid sushi experience—if you’re adventurous and open to trying something far from traditional, this might be worth a visit.
