La Posada Hotel & Beach Club — Hotel in Baja California Sur

Do not be mislead by the description or pics. This place is disgusting, dangerous and dishonest. The rooms are not clean or updated. Nothing is maintained. Doors falling off or difficult to move s well as the room entry door lock did not work. The closet door actually fell off while we where there. The sheets are not Egyptian cotton or down comforter. The mattress's are not select comfort and future more are old and have less then adequate support. Further more, we where there for Christmas holiday 2019, which was unseasonably cold. Was incredibly difficult to get additional covers to stay warm at night.The shower head was so plugged with scaling/sediment it was showering under a drip. So, difficult to get someone to repair. I did it myself with my pocket knife by picking and scarping each port. The coffee maker was none existent. We asked for one 3 different times. Never got one. My daughter went downstairs each day to get morning coffee. We viewed the breakfast buffet and it was gross and very limited. We got back to room late on the 2nd day. So, we ordered room service. The flank steak was rotten meat and they cooked it and delivered it to room. We complained and did not reorder. They did not remove from our bill. There are no bath robes to be had. If you look at the pic with a view from the beach back at the pool area and hotel. Notice on the right side the pic a wall and landscape, On the other side of wall is the street and a dead and at beach and water. Its a party spot for kids and gangs. They start partying and playing load music form there cars around 11 pm and goes until 4 and 5 am. We asked front desk help and security do do something about it every night. The first night, when i went down stairs to ask for help after this going on until 2 am, security was sleeping and clueless to the music that was clear to hear and vibrating the glass ware at the bar. I had to wake him up by knocking hard on the wall close to him. He walked outside the back door by pool with me. I pointed out what was going on. He asked me what i wanted him to do? I asked him to get them to stop or call police. The police came at 3:30 AM and cleared 2 cars and 10 people. Then 10 min after police left, a different car full of people pulled up opened up all there doors and trunk. Turned up the music and pulled a cooler out and set up to party. I again asked the hotel security to call police. This time the police showed up at 4:45 AM. Only this time, they arrested people. The police lights and activity lasted until 6:05 AM. Then my daughter and i had to get ready for our 8 hour fishing trip. UGH! Clearly, there is nothing comfortable about his place. Those are just a few of the issues. ADVERTENCIA NO SE QUEDAN AQUI PELIGROSO Y INSEGURIDAD NOS ROBARON NUESTRA MALETA DE NUESTRA HABITACION, NO SE LOS RECOMENDO MAL EXPEREINCIA-WARNING DO NOT STAY HERE UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS ,SOMEONE STOLE MY PARNTERS LUGGAGE FROM OUR ROOM ,MANAGER DID NOT HELP WAS ON PHONE TEXTING AND NOT SAYING ANYTHING TO HELP -NO APOLOGIES NOTHING, EL HOTEL NO SE DISCULPARON O TRATAR DE AYUDARNOS , reviews I reed online were not horrible on paper but in reality all the negative reviews are spot on, run down conditions partner almost fell off wood recliner outside, tiles missing near pool, electircall wires on floor near us, stucco falling apart, horrible customer service the girl forgot to return with our ordered drinks btw its almost 100 degree small lobby with ac that barely works, found out they let outside people come in to party staring at 2 -9 pm so alot of people come onto property without checking in to lobby several entrances to property not secured for hotel guests, it seemed like a free for all, did notice police next to dj hmm, but was not called for our stolen property first of all we came early hotel said the lobby is safe to hold our luggage and we could use pool meanwhile we wait to check in I reserved with credit card online they asked for it again when I had already booked it online for 6 days and 5 nights, well once we picked up luggage and checked in we went to our room #5 3rd floor in front of elevator , we showered because we were in the pool and then we looked for my partner's luggage it was missing we let manager know we went downstairs not much help, we decided to leave back home because we felt violated, targeted and unsafe, we had asked manager to refund us after staying in our room for 2 hours deciding what to do after she advised us to go up to our room, she said we usually does not refund btw their is no peephole and door locks are finicky and did not lock properly realized after luggage was stolen, our ride arrived and WE LEFT , the "manager; was on her phone texting and not saying anything to us to help resolve this matter, she did not call authorities or any type of security to help almost blaming us that we had our luggage that maybe we lost them, nope NO GRACIAS EXPERIENCIA HORIBLE ESPERANDO QUE NOS DEVUELVAN POR 6 DIAS Y 5 NOCHES, ni 2 horas estuvimos alli despues del robo, STILL WAITING FOR HOTEL TO REFUND FOR 6 DAYS & 5 NIGHTS STAY, WE WERE ONLY THERE FOR LIKE 2 HOURS...

This place is a horrible place to stay. Do not let the pictures sell you because the pictures must have been taken years ago. The pictures are horrible. The place needs a lot of maintenance. I have to admit the people are very nice however don’t try to talk to the manager Cynthia because she never comes around she just send messages with her people and the food is not that great. The rooms are rundown Outside, the pool is not very good. They have all kinds of people have day passes coming in and out in and out dogs in the pool. The chairs are wood. You gotta be careful. Don’t get splinter when you’re lying on the chairs of the beach chairs outside it is very rundown place. I do not recommend it not for the price. There’s a lot of other better places in town. It’s far from town and it’s on the beach where it has a lot of activity. They do not tell you about advance or anything so people are in and out in and out all day long so if you’re trying to get away for peaceful , get away this is not the place. Don’t do it. We had plumbing problems. We had toilet problem. The Jacuzzi had a problem. We lasted two days with problems when we checked in and they try to move us to the room. We ended up staying where we were because that room had also a lot of problems so we stuck it out. I tried to cancel my reservation and get something else. They told me couldn’t cancel so I had to cancel three days before checking in. well you don’t know what’s gonna happen when you check in so I thought that was really ridiculous to have to suffer for another 4 days there we just slept there. Basically we never hang out because they had too much activity going on events like crazy people in and out and out, and people are rude just straight out rude it was a horrible place to stay. I do not recommend it. Please think again too far away just too much activity last night there the people on the beach they were out there till 5:30 in the morning with loud music to get up at six to go to airport. I did not sleep all night long so if you’re trying to get away for a peaceful getaway, this is NOT the place!!!! I will download pictures later but you can see the pictures.
