Let's start with the fact that the rooms and most of the building are old. That means that everything is old as well, and poor. And smelly. And dusty-dirty. The appliances, ACs, linens, towels, and furniture. Everything. And there is absolutely no wi-fi. Well, if you check the wi-fi connection most probably it shows you the full reception because routers are not bad. But there is no internet. There is simply nothing to translate. It was extremely important for us to have the Internet because we both work remotely. And before I booked I was assured that everything is ok but surprise. It wasn't. The funniest thing is when on the second day of our attempts to find out what is going on it appears that right next to the gym they have a coworking space with high-speed internet. But it's needed to pay separately because it's (and this is the quote) "a separate business". Coincidence?)) Along with our "Internet" adventure, we had to beg to change the room in general. And we had to move twice. Because we had to ask twice. In our first room (93) there was absolutely terrible smell (like a rotten onion or smth). Plus there was no water in the showers, the stove was broken and the linen was dirty. It was late evening when they offered us to sleep over in the next apartment (94) but there were a whole bunch of the same issues (except the smell). We ended up in another building. There were a few problems as well but at least they were fixed. Except for the internet. The only positive remembering about our stay is the people. The administrators, the lady from the reception and the handymen - they all did their best trying to fix things. The problem unfortunately is bigger than they could solve. All the buildings need to be repaired. And all appliances need to be changed. At least I would recommend making a deep clean of all the apartments. And...

Things I would like to know as a potential guest:||PROS:|Condo 13 (building 1, 2nd floor) has an amazing view. We were very pleased.|Well kept pool & patio with loungers right out front.|Daily housekeeping was great (a pleasant surprise).|Quick response when our hot water went out.|The staff were friendly.|Clean bath and pool towels were provided and changed as needed.|Very spacious 2 bedrm, 2 bathrm with tons of storage.|A/C worked well.|Nice large fridge/freezer, microwave, blender, toaster, 2-cup coffee maker.|Parking was close and convenient.|Felt safe and secure.|Many dining options a short drive away.||CONS:|The 2-burner hot-plate "stove" was very dangerous as hot pans literally wanted to slide off the burner all by themselves, potentially spilling hot contents onto the floor or the cook (this did happen on our last day, but the pan was empty by then, so only the handle of the pan broke). When I brought my concern to the management, they replaced the hotplate with an older, dirtier hotplate with exactly the same problem. We were told they would get us a new "stovetop" on a Wednesday, but by the following Tuesday we still had the old, dangerous stovetop.|The WiFi in the condo was useless about 90% of the time and barely adequate the rest of the time. The management could do nothing to help. (our Telcel reception was poor also, likely due to being in a deadzone).|There was no balcony furniture and none available (according to reception), a shame considering the view (we did sit on kitchen chairs instead).|Not having a car would make this location quite difficult.|Beaches within walking distance were poorly accessible with no facilities (we visited many other beaches by car; our favorite was Playa Palmilla, ~20...

"Warning!! Scammers at Sunrock Condo Hotel"

I had the unpleasant experience to have reserved a 3 month long winter vacation at the Sunrock Condo Hotel in Cabo San Lucas. As part of their conditions I had to give them a one month rental deposit. Fortunately and perhaps because I had a bad feeling about the deposit, I decided to give them only half the amount requested. Thank God I did!! I left the hotel on March 30 and was told that I would receive my deposit within a week or so. After numerous emails, and a month later they confirmed that their bank would be wiring the money. A week passed and I still had not received my refund of $321.00USD. They wrote back to me saying that my bank had returned the wire because the account was wrong. I had told them that the account was correct. They also told me that there would be a charge of $25.00USD to do the wire transfer. I wrote back to them that this was not part of the deal and wiring fees are to be borne by the them. I then instructed them to issue a check and I would have one of my friends in Cabo pick it up for me. They did not heed my instructions and continued to try to wire the money to me. On June 1 two months after I had left the hotel, they wrote a check of only $183.00USD, This was $138 less than what they owed me. When I pressed the matter to them they told me that their bank had charged them that amount to wire the money which came back. They deducted that amount from my refund. Nice!! So for all you travelers thinking of going to Cabo, stay away from this hotel. Scammers and terrible customer service. There are many better hotels than this one!!

Enzo Stigliani, scammed...

UPD. This year we decided to stay in SunRock the second time regarding our positive experience. And unfortunately I must admit that it was truly disappointing. The service was really lazy and I would even say bureaucratic. After we asked the receptionist to hurry a bit with filling all forms, because we wanted to enjoy the sunset, he seemed even slower . At the apartment there weren’t enough kitchenwares for 4 people. The staff denied help me, because it was out of hours, as I was told. Only after my insisting call, the brought some glasses. Moreover, their wifi doesn’t connect with any of our 8 apple devices. As the responsive staff told, it wasn’t their problem, but ours. Yes, it’s a good place and location for chill and relax, far away from noisy and crowded downtown. Spacious apartments with stunning view terrace and such pleasant facilities such as gym and pool. But, anyway, never again for my third stop in Cabo San Lucas.

CONS: We stayed in a 2 Bed/ 2 Bath. Strong sewage smell coming from master bathroom drains and sink. Bathroom was unusable and we had to just keep the door shut the entire trip to make sure it did not smell up the rest of the rooms. Notified the front desk and they sent a maintenance person who poured a chemical down the drain and said it was fixed. The smell returned after 10 minutes. Another one of our friends stayed in a different building and had the same issue. when you use the shower the water runs underneath the wall and floods the area by the toilet. The shower door also does not lock/close due to corrosion. No elevator. PROS: They offer transportation (80% of the time) from the further buildings back towards the reception building. Walkable to The Cape Resort and Mona Lisa restaurant where we had meals. AC worked great.
