The good - views and ambiance were incredible. Make sure you’re there for sunset. The live music was also great - some pop covers, mostly tropical house vibes. The food was also very tasty, fyi the plates are pretty small, but we knew that going in. The less good - service was pretty bad. The place wasn’t full, yet we barely saw our server - he’d stop by maybe once every 30 minutes, including to close out our bill so we stayed much longer than we anticipated. And he wasn’t overwhelmed, he was frequently just chatting with the bartender. The cocktails were underwhelming for the price. Weak in flavor and strength.

We had a 7:30pm reservation for three. First off, I have to say the staff were amazing and the views were outstanding. On the other side, having an automatic 16% gratuity seemed a bit much. Plus having to pay in USD with no option to pay in MXN. The DJ was having a grand ole time playing the music much louder than expected. For our 90 minutes there only one person got up to dance and she was only swaying to the music. The biggest turn off was that they allowed cigar smoking up in the corner of the rooftop. The smoke wafted all along the west end. Would we return? In all likelihood that would be a no.

Pros: Desserts and drinks were yummy 8.5/10 View was incredible at sunset 10/10 Live music was great 10/10 Hostess and server both asked about food allergies prior to starting food/drink service, which is very considerate Cons: Slower than anticipated service, would have ordered more drinks had there been the opportunity Charged for “complementary” happy birthday brownie dessert (we didn’t order it, it was brought to the table since they knew we were celebrating a birthday, then we saw the charge on our bill) Water (in small glass bottles) is $4 Would go again for dessert, drinks and ambience.

Beautiful Setting, But Service Missed the Mark (Review for Sat. 12th)

I had been looking forward to visiting The Cape’s rooftop for some time, drawn by the promise of great views and a lively atmosphere. We made a reservation and arrived shortly after 10 PM, only to learn that the kitchen was only offering light bites at that time, something we would’ve appreciated knowing in advance. Still, we decided to stay and enjoy the ambiance, which truly is stunning.

Upon being seated, I greeted a gentleman near our table who didn’t respond, I later realized he was actually our server Gilbert .The lack of a proper greeting set the tone. I ordered a lemonade-based mocktail while my family member tried the espresso martini, which was recommended by the server. Unfortunately, my drink lacked flavor and had a very bitter aftertaste. I expressed my dissatisfaction, and he replaced it with a passion fruit drink that was much better. I appreciated the effort to make it right.

We ordered shrimp quesadillas, guacamole, and fish tacos. As expected at a luxury property, the prices were high, but unfortunately the quality didn’t match. The tacos, which came as a small portion of two, were bland and lacking seasoning. I wanted to request salsa, but our server was nowhere to be found and never checked in on us after delivering the food.

What truly left a sour impression was a moment during service that felt blatantly disrespectful. A large group was seated at the table next to us, and without a word or even eye contact, our server reached over and took the menu off our table to give to them. We weren’t finished ordering, and he didn’t ask if we were done or needed anything else. It was dismissive and inconsiderate, it made us feel overlooked and undervalued simply because we weren’t part of a larger party.

Eventually, I placed a to-go order. When the check came, the server pointed out that he didn’t charge me for the first mocktail I didn’t like. While I appreciated the gesture, the way it was mentioned felt unnecessary , especially since I hadn’t consumed it and had already expressed dissatisfaction respectfully. I still left a $15 tip out of courtesy. Our total came to $155 for one mocktail, one cocktail, guacamole, two taco orders, and one quesadilla.

In the end, while the rooftop ambiance was exactly what we were looking for, the service — particularly the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy — left a lasting impression. For a venue of this caliber, that kind of experience was...

Wow this place has THE best views of Cabo San Lucas! You can see the arches and the entire beach/ocean. I definitely suggest going to watch the sunset. It's the perfect spot to take photos, too! My friend recommended that I come to The Rooftop, and I'm so glad I did. We made a reservation and just went for some drinks and dessert because the menu is a bit pricey. I recommend making a reservation. It helps if you have a reservation because if you're not staying at the hotel (like us), it is gated to get in and you have to tell the guard you are going to The Rooftop.

I loved the vibes here; they even had a lady singing/DJ-ing some live EDM and she was amazing!

The service was friendly and quick. They also gave us blankets because it gets a bit chilly at night. I lovedddd my drink–bitter pina colada (which wasn't bitter at all). I'm gluten-intolerant and was surprised to find that their churros are gluten-free. I ordered them and devoured the whole plate to myself. They came with a caramel dipping sauce too. They also have a gluten-free brownie; will definitely try...

Fantastic evening here last night. Food was great, drinks were perfect, service was on point. And the view... WOW. We technically missed the sunset but it didn't matter because the dusk view was spectacular.

The only downside to the experience were the idiotic restaurant guests. It's unfortunate that the people who work here need to deal with entitled tourists who think they are gods and expect to be accomodated at all costs. I was embarrassed for them. Literally heard a lady SCREAMING at the server because she made a reservation for two and showed up with 8 people hoping to be accomodated. 😑 Another woman was getting angry that the waitress couldn't speak perfect English. LEARN SPANISH...
