Just checked in. First off, the hotel is still under construction. The main Lobby is non-existent. Have to access hotel through side of building down the first floor towards the mid-hallway where there’s a provisional reception within the wall. When asked to sign the contract, the letters are the font size of 5 or 6. If you have 20/20 vision, you might still have trouble reading it. The receptionist does not even take the time to explain or brief you on this contract. I basically signed my life away since I could not read the small print Clauses. I have never stayed in a hotel with Twin beds!??? Seriously!? Twin beds!!!???
Full/ Queen beds ok, but twins!? Maybe in a Hostel!
My room was nice to enter into, till I found hairs on the floor and dust. Obviously it was not swept nor moped.
There was a hair in the bathroom sink too. The sink drain was missing the stopper. The drain was nasty and full of hairs. The drain stopper was on the side of the sink.
The shower tile is supper slippery, no shower mat provided, and the shower curtain, we’ll that’s not wide enough to cover the shower entrance so water ends up outside the shower. The shower head, you must try to handle it with care for the tube coming out the wall is wobbly and loose.
I was not impressed at all. Let’s hope I can sleep.
Next day review. I do have to say we had a pleasant night and slept very well. The beds and sheets were nice and clean.
We did not get to try the breakfast for we overslept and that was better than anything. We slept good.
I know that this place can do much better in many areas, and management can make this hotel a super place and make it a better experience to all their customers. It take time, management, treatment of staff a good one and dedication in the many areas that need the attention.
Hoping to make the next stay a much better one.
Thank you for...
Read moreReception could Improve, the room really smell noticeably weird ,* some staff members were extremely helpful and friendly* (this is the true highlight of the hotel). I had a really hard time getting the right temperature on the shower it was either someone cold or someone hot! breakfast was somewhat of a joke!. watermelon was good but they only had watermelon and papaya and you have to be kidding me, the only had eggs and some chips and beans with a little cream and little sprinkle cheese. that is not breakfast they also had some Bread there but in general I think the breakfast it's a joke. rooms are not that bad, they were very few cheats to cover yourself with I was so tired but I just fell asleep and didn't complain about that , I also didn't like the fact that their conversion rate was lower than other places from dollars so the night was 70+ dlls thats not what i sae from the advertisement. The picture I am posting is from my bed and the only thing I have to cover myself , what must surprise me about this hotel was the smell on the room it was significant but almost not unbearable, I think this is outrageous for a Hotel charging this price . I hope to hotel read this review and make something about it but it looks like they're not it's not a bad place but yeah you're going to complain about some stuff The reason I stayed here was because I was looking for a hotel that was close to them Otay border and this was from the quick search I did it look like the best value for the price they were cheaper but it was suspicious so it was kind of like the middle ground the way cleaning crew will come at 9 a.m. to knock...
Read moreFirst off I want to thank Priceline for putting me in this horrible selection with their express deals. Don't use Priceline.
The front desk is unreachable over the phone. I've tried calling from the U.S. for days trying to reach someone to cancel my stay. It was practically impossible.
Location, is tricky. One missed turn and you'll find yourself having to drive all around just to try again. I'm assuming this is a good spot if you have an appointment at the consulate, or need a really really cheap hotel for a flight next time. Beware, as cops tend to poach this area for infractions.
Room, well I finally understand that this was a very cheap hotel. At first I was surprised at how bad it was and then it hit me. It's a cheap hotel. Dusty and dirty, stained sheets. This is the equivalent to a Hotel 6 in the states. If you need an iron or hairdryer, you need to walk to the front desk, leave your ID as deposit. All for a $8 dollar walmart iron that spills water everywhere.
The shower water smells like sewage. My whole room smelled like sewage the whole time, it was terrible. Towels are like cardboards, must be the original one from when they opened a decade ago. I wish I was exaggerating but just beware, this hotel is cheap not because its a good deal, but because its genuinely cheap. Also, hopefully you get the top floor, because walls are thin, you can hear your neighbors TVs.
By the way, my view was a huge dumpster. Stay to sace money, if you want a comfortable bed and clean room,...
