DO NOT STAY HERE if you’re expecting the average level of care that the Hilton brand usually offers. This is the second time we stay here.
The first time was disastrous but we thought it was because it was “newish” so we decided to try a second time. It was worst. The first time was so bad that they promised to call us back to apologize and maybe make amends. Never got any calls.
Here is a small resume of what went bad, but is just partial, there were more stuff, might not be able to remember all of it. For starters you can tell whomever is the the main honcho in this property has NO IDEA of how to run a proper internationally recognized chain hotel.
As soon as you arrive you’ll notice that there’s nowhere to pull over, no small drive thru, no valet, no momentary parking and if you are handicap you’re SOL because the handicap space, rather than being closed to the door, is the furthest away. On top of that, uber drivers and deliveries usually park there since is the only open spot. In the picture you can see that there’s even a car parked on the open space that the handicap spot needs, right next to the delivery vehicle without handicap plates.
The closest space to the door is actually reserved for the police. Why would a hotel property need to have a permanent open space for the police is beyond me but doesn’t give me a very good impression.
There are four spots between the door and the handicap that are first come first serve serve that are always occupied. So you are supposed to go to the basement parking and then to the lobby. But good luck fight that out since there are no instructions or valet. The sensible thing to do would be to make those spots 10min spots and have a valet help you or give you instructions.
For the check in, the receptionists don’t make any effort to instruct the people to make a single line, which would be the fair thing to do. They allow for people to form as many lines as they wish. Is almost as if they couldn’t care less.
We had several luggage pieces and nobody offered help nor a cart. I’m unaware as to whether or not they have one.
Because we are Diamond level we were offered a brown bag with small bag of cheetos, a cookie and a candy. All in all it has a value of about $1 us dlls. I don’t see how this makes things any better. It just feels cheap. Giving nothing would probably be better.
Then onto the room. No matter which side of the building you get, the back or the front, the view is horrible. You can see the pictures. Is just depressing. You can’t blame the hotel for this but i think is worth mentioning.
The room smells horrible. As if you’re literally in the drain. I suspect that in typical “cost saving” fashion, someone along the way either decided to cut costs on the plumbing or stoke the money and the traps weren’t setup correctly. It is a really terrible smell, not worth the stay AT ALL, no matter the price and this is the MAIN REASON WERE NEVER GOING BACK.
After that everything seemed trivial. The mini fridge barely worked. There was only one bar of soap and you’re expected to use it both on the sink and in the shower. Although there was an extra small bar of facial soap. The pillows were very used and smelled bad.
I’m not even going to go into detail about the “free breakfast”. You can use your imagination.
To add insult to injury at some point we decided to take the stairs rather than the elevator just to have the security guard reprimand us like six year olds and yell at us because we didn’t use the elevator. Who does that? Why is that guy so traumatized? What happened in this property?
All in all, one of the worst hotel experiences i’ve ever had and specially disappointed because it is part of the Hilton brand.
It seemed to be pretty busy tho, but it was mainly mexican nationals and manufacturing workers from asian descent. They probably don’t have much expectations from the property or don’t really care much about the little things and the stink from the drainage plumbing. I...
Read moreAbdiel was very nice and showed us a room prior to booking. He honor the price that was cheaper online. Plus even gave us a discount. He deserves 5 stars. The ladies in the lobby on the other hand seemed too busy talking amongst themselves. The first room that we went into had a very strong odor. It smelled like sewage. Upon removing the comforter to get into bed and rest. We noticed several hairs( seemed like pubic 🤮🤢) we called the front desk. We explained the situation and they apologized and said someone would come right up. To give us a new key. We waited 15 minutes. And no one showed up. We called again and said someone was coming. We waited another 20 minutes and no one showed up. We went downstairs to get the key ourselves. Second room was decent. We decided to stay an extra night. We spoke to Isaac(sales) and he honored the price we had pain a night before. Breakfast is included. Food was far from good. We needed housekeeping done and went to the receptionist to let her know. We were gone for 3 hours. She said she would said someone. We came back and our room was not clean. We called and within 10 minutes Carmen came. She was very nice and apologetic about the miscommunication. Hotel definitely need improvement in communication and customer service. Overall the stay was decent. Hotel insulation is not that great as you can hear the neighbors in the next room. And everything else that is happening around. Hotel is in a good area. Close to many restaurants and stores. If customer service and communication increase we would come back. Also housekeeping needs to do a better job with changing sheets. You would expect that kind of discrepancy from a cheaper hotel. FOUL SEWAGE SMELL IN THE ROOM. I hope they fix this plumbing problem. As per employees is an issue throughout the hotel rooms. Everything else is super nice. This time around we had no issues but the smell. Which was a huge turn off. Even...
Read moreThe 1st room was not up to par. It was on the 5th floor. The curtains were torn and each bed had hair on the sheets. The entry way had not been swept. There was a lot to choose for breakfast. Eggs and beans were actually bland. The salsa they had helped the blandness. The employees were all very kind and respectful. I visited the pool and as I was holding the rail it was very loose and I almost slipped due to the slime I felt under my feet. I spoke to an employee about the rail being loose and he had someone take care it it right away. They have a laundry room that is free to use and is open 24 hours. The laundry room is located on the first floor. I called the front desk to ask if the machine dries and I was told it did not. I saw that at a certain setting your laundry will dry but it will take a little over 5 hours. That a combination of washing and drying. It's open 24 hours so, it's definitely do-able. I did another load in the morning but the machine had an error code. I went to the front desk at 7 minutes to 12 and told the front desk clerk to check me out. I explained, I had asked one of the cleaning ladies to help me because the washer got stuck. She messaged a maintenance man to come help. I explained I would return because I needed to place my things in the car. I went back to the laundry room and they were wringing my clothes out. I only had 4 items in the washer. When I made it back to the front desk an employee mentioned check out was at 12. I had already checked out. I was there to return the spare key that I used to go get my laundry. I thought that was rude of him. I believe he was the manager....
