REAL INN DE TIJUANA (BLVD. AGUA CALIENTE) — Hotel in Baja California

R INN de Tijuana isn’t much to look at from the outside, with its grimy sign, mysterious network of walkways, and lobby security that suggests multiple stick ups. There were also some ssues with my room. The TV didn't work, and when I arrived the room safe was locked and therefore useless. But all was not lost! The room was utilitarian, but the bed was comfortable, and there was a whirlpool bath (I didn’t try it). The shower was hot with good water pressure. The bathroom and main room were spacious and even included a dining nook. I think I booked one of the “suites,” which came with a pristine microwave, refrigerator, and mini split. The room was spotless, quiet, and the staff were very helpful (pero no se habla ingles). A special shout out to the cook, who cooks a scrumptious chilaquiles verdes in the restaurant downstairs. They walked in our room and got the remotes while we were in the office. All our stuff was still in there and we don't know if they looked through any of our things as well??? Why would anyone respectable establishment walk into a guest's room to get the remote!?!

We were in the office trying to get a full refund because the wifi does not work. They tried to give us another random connection😬😬😬 NO THANKS! And yes I use a VPN for work but that's sketchy. Kinda like walking into the room, without our knowledge or permission, is sketchy.

For the price you can't beat this hotel, it includes a free breakfast, a pool, a wonderful ac, and a good location. However, we had a few issues with the hotel. We encountered a roach, the water was too darn hot, like scalding hot, and the customer service was not great. The water was either burning your skin or it was off lol. We contacted the front room and they told us they would address it, but they didn't. The next day when we got back to the hotel, we encountered the same water situation. We called again. They said that they would send someone to resolve the water heating problem and we stayed up till midnight waiting for some one to come and help. No...
