El Potrero Carnes — Restaurant in Baja California

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Tijuana. After tonight's meal I will never go here again. They buried the salad and watery blue cheese. The vegetables were not cooked at all they were Raw they weren't even really warm they were crunchy cold but dumped so much water on the plate that it's got the steak soggy it was supposed to be a filet but it was more like a tenderized sirloin the bacon wrapped around it wasn't even cooked the potato wasn't cooked but it was old.

They dumped so much mushroom sauce on the steak that you couldn't taste the steak, which was probably a good thing

I used to recommend this restaurant to everybody and now I'll never go there again. I won't recommend it to anybody it was horrible

It was overpriced, for if it was good if it was good it was overpriced, but it was horrible it was so overpriced it was ridiculous

They said they had natural lemonade it was horrible

Even the tortillas were horrible they were rubbery

I recommend anybody thinking about going here run you get a better meal at McDonald's

I was there last night at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 13th. It's the first time that I went out to a restaurant in a long time and I was really looking forward to it and I was so embarrassed it was so bad everything was wrong with it that I didn't want to say anything so I just ate it and left.

This restaurant is a must everytime we come to visit. This is our third time in Tijuana and the third time we eat at this restaurant. We've never been disappointed. No issues with language as the supervisor Lupita (I think that is her name) is well versed in English. Last time we were here there was a language barrier with our server and he went to get her to translate. The food is always hot and cooked to perfection. We are carnivores so the steak is delicious. I am not a wine drinker but decided to try their sangria. It was so good. Today, they offered us their homeade tequila. It was so smooth. My husband who hates tequila enjoyed it. The service is a five star. The food is a five star. The hospitality is awesome. To top it all off, their prices are extremely reasonable. They have many food options from seafood to meat. Meat has great flavor. Mojitos are delicious. Guacamole is expensive. Service is above average when not busy. Tortilla soup is delicious. Pricing is a bit high. Interior decorations gives it a very chill atmosphere to dine in but it can get nosy. If you come here early in the morning prepare to wait and get awful service. I just went again today, Sunday July 15th 2018, and got bad service, it has been the same the past 2 times. Recommend to eat here when it's not busy, if there is a line or you see a full parking lot, keep driving, not worth the waiting. I seriously wanted to ask...
