A garden variety lonchería.

I ordered "calabacitas a la mexicana" (zucchini boiled with corn, onion, tomatoes, garlic and spices). It came served with sour cream, grated Cotija cheese and some shredded chicken breast. The calabacitas were quite good, but I didn't like that the white rice side dish was far too oily and a little raw.

Something I didn't like about the calabacitas was that I was asking for them as a vegetarian option, which was hardly vegetarian given the shredded chicken.

My mother asked for garlic chicken. It was dry and chewy, with a distinct flavor of raw garlic. Somehow, they managed to both fry her dish too much and not enough. And her rice was even worse than mine.

The tamarind water was a little too sweet.

Service was very, very fast.

Esta bonito el lugar con muchas plantas y decoracion. Te toman la orden sin entregarte un Menú donde diga que ofrecen. Nos tomo la orden un joven pero no apunto nada y nos entrego mal la comida. Habiamos pedido unos chilaquiles verdes con huevo y unos chilaquiles rojos con pollo. Nos trajeron los verdes con pollo y los rojos con huevo. El sabor no esta mal pero nada fuera de lo normal.
