I GOT ROBBED IN MY HOTEL ROOM. DO NOT GO!!!!! Left charging my AirPods Pro (300$) in my room for the weekend and went back using them on Monday for work (I work remotely so I NEED THEM). The manager was so nice and supportive at the beginning, he even (fairly) promised to get them back to me or if not possible, to give us a refund or getting me new AirPods Pro before I left. As this happened on Monday, I passed the next three days discussing and arguing until I messaged the owner of the hotel on WhatsApp, explaining the situation and asking for a compensation as I was told by the other manager and.... HE BLOCKED MY CONTACT! I was shocked for this, blocking someone on WhatsApp is something that you can do in your PERSONAL LIFE, NOT IN YOUR PROFESSIONAL LIFE! As this wasn't enough, I convened with two managers to discuss. One of them started the conversation doubting the credibility of what happened, which I found again, very unprofessional as I believe the job of a hotel manager is listening and accommodating his guests. Overall, I had the feeling (and my boyfriend, being there with me, too), that I got convened just to be told that "we don't have any reasons to give you a refund", which I though, one more time, being extremely unprofessional not even offering a small compensation as it was promised to me. Also, the other manager, who supported me at the beginning, started to have a very unprofessional and rude behaviour too, blaming me to have lost my AirPods somewhere else, when I reported to have left them charging in my room until Monday. Traveling from Toronto, the hotel’s location was a major draw, offering easy access to downtown Cancun’s attractions. Its proximity to cafes, Mexican restaurants, and even a McDonald’s right downstairs added to the convenience. Additionally, being close to bus route 2 made trips to the Hotel Zone effortless and easy. What truly set this stay apart was the warm support from the host, Luzma, whose generosity and kindness were unparalleled. She was very responsive and reachable all the times.
Sky Inn offers great facilities including free WiFi, which was impressively fast, and comfortable, clean rooms with modern amenities ensuring a restful night’s sleep. The fitness center and free private parking are added conveniences for guests.
But it’s not just about the amenities; the location is rated highly by couples and is in close proximity to Mercado 28, Plaza 28 and Las Palapas Park, perfect for those looking to explore the local scene. It is also walkable to Walmart for any quick grocery trips.
I highly recommend Sky Inn Hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable, convenient stay in Cancun, supported by fantastic staff. It’s an experience I’m eager to repeat on my next visit.

This place is totally automated which means there is no staff, no one to help you, and no one to take responsibility. We had to message the manager, Diego, who was the rudest, most unhelpful person I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. The water did not work at all for the entirety of our stay. No shower after a 16 hour long travel day, no water to flush the toilet, and no water to wash our hands, or brush our teeth. When we informed Diego, he couldn’t care less, telling us it was an external issue and just expected us to get on with it. After pestering him for a whole week, we only got a refund for the night we didn’t (couldn’t) stay, not the first night where we had no running water at all. Not one single apology the whole time.
