Great little place and another refuge from the inflated price experience of the Cancun's Hotel Zone. Every tiki cocktail is 80 pesos (4 US) and is pretty good. Tried all eight cocktails (several times..) and they are of consistent baseline quality although when ordering my favourite one several times (Doctor Mug) it never really tasted exactly the same each time.
Tried some of the food - it's okay. Tried they hookah (shisha) and it was solid, good coals that last 1h+ and decent selection of the tobacco. Priced at 350 pesos (17 US) is on the expensive side for Mexico but in Cancun bubble it's very reasonable (paid 30 US in Hotel Zone).
Celebrated New Years here and it was great, live singing, felt very local with a good mix of younger European/American travelers and local Mexican. Great friendly service (shout out to Karla) and just a pleasant, relaxed atmosphere.
Only negatives are that it's cash only and the selection of music is clearly tailored for a generic foreign visitor.
Overall, amazing place to get that blood alcohol level up in a financially prudent and...
Read moreCan't rate food we didn't eat however their drink wear is awesome, their atmosphere is fun-filled with a chilled out beach vibe. It felt great to bring my homie around Cancun to all the hot spots visited a year prior! Bungee jumping beats it all; hands down! IMPORTANT ADVICE: Bring cash.. you'd think it would be easier to rip you off with cash but due to the money exchange (and too many drinks) a market owner charged my credit card for $500 (U.S. amount not pesos) twice for a shot glass! I had to dispute a $1,000 bill for a Corona shot glass.. Thankfully the duplicate charge was canceled but sadly I still paid $500 for a cheesy shot glass. Leason learned. And just to clarify, The Tiki Mug was NOT the market owner who ripped me off... I just want to make that as clear as possible. This restaurant deserves 5 stars all around. We did not eat here so I cannot rate the food but it smelled good and people looked pleased with...
Read moredefinitly the best drinks we had in mexico for the month west we're here. The complexity flavor and price were all great. There was a miscommunication and we ended up getting two when we wanted one but it worked out since they were so good. The drinks had a nice ballance of sweet and tangy fruit even with orange zest in it. I couldn't really taste the alcohol other than the smokies of the mezcal. They mugs they give you it in are on brand and all different which is another plus. They only thing that was off was their hours. We got there when they supposedly opened and they werent there for 20 minutes so we just left the first time but I'm glad...
