I just returned yesterday from my 2nd stay (my 1st stay being November of 2021) and it was everything I remembered and more. Check in was delightful, cool towel and water as you entered. If your check-in is prior to 2PM, keep a bathing suit handy in a personal item so you can hit the pool while you wait. Our room was beautiful with a view of the pool and the ocean & a lovely balcony with hammock. While so many hotels no longer even make the bed anymore, they service the room, stock the minibar and snacks and provide turn-down service every night. The Spa was amazing. We booked in advance- check out specials ahead of time! We enjoyed an 80 min couples massage for the price of a 50 min massage. Allow time after for the hydro therapy. Weird but refreshing. Hot dry sauna/cold rinse/hot steam sauna/cold plunge pool etc.If you would like to be right by the pool you will need to either book a cabana or a fee or grab one of the free cabanas early in the morning. Our last day we splurged on a poolside cabana on a foam party day. The price is more than double on foam party days but it was worth it. We had a primo spot, bottle service, our own personal attendant & 2 lounge chairs at the edge of the pool in a few inches of water. I have read reviews where people complained about the noise at the pool- there are some days where there is a party of some type in the afternoon but the mornings and late afternoon are typically quite and it is more quiet down at the beach cabanas. Keep in mind, it is an adults only -not a retirement facility. If you are concerned about noise from the pool (or from the nightly show that is usually at either 8 or 9PM- as for a room located toward the left or right end of the resort rather than the middle. You may have to walk a little further to be where the action is, but noise will be less of an issue and the resort is large enough to offer some variety but far from being so big that everything isn't easily walkable. This is not a mega resort with golf carts. Spice (buffet) does a great job for breakfast and lunch. We did order room service breakfast one day, it was prompt and decent but didn't hold a candle to the Spice buffet! There is also usually some type of food out around the pool area - grill food burgers, dogs and sometimes pizza. Asiana is great - make a reservation in advance if you want to be at the hibachi table or walk in and simply enjoy great sushi. Maria Marie is a nice choice for Mexican and you don't need a reservation. Discovera offers nice options for excursions. Make sure you ask how long the travel time is for the excursion you are considering. Some of the full day options you may be in a bus for an hour or two just getting there and back. We did a great 5 in 1 excursion that was 3 hours long. Short commute down the road, a fun little "Mayan" show and photo op before driving our own little boat to a snorkel spot. This time I also booked our transfers through Real Club - it was affordable and easy. An attendant was waiting at the airport with a sign with my name and a sweet Suburban was waiting for us. Our driver was prompt in our early morning pick up on our day of departure. Overall this resort is a terrific value. Both of my visits have been for 4 nights. While I think it would be nice to go for 5 or 6 nights, I think much more than that would get a little redundant due to the size - you may find you are are revisiting the same food and entertainment options. Check ahead of time for what day the vendors will be there if you would like souvenirs without leaving the resort. If I had to say anything that could use improvement - The one thing that was a little disappointing was the amazing shower knob kept coming off so it was hard to adjust the water. We did mention it on day two. The mixed drinks are ok but not amazing - but the service is the best! Shout out to Victor (our pool concierge), Brenda and Jesica in the spa, & to Marfer who came to our cabana to ask our favorite colors after I missed bracelet making on our last day!

OUTSTANDING. Above and beyond our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed this all inclusive adults only resort. Come to relax or enjoy the varied activities this hotel has to offer. Location 10/10. This has to be one of the most beautiful beaches we have been to. Crystal blue warm water with glorious waves. Beach cabanas are comfortable and beautiful. Best of all us attentive service. Cocktails! Yes. Ill have another!!! Pools. 10/10. Nonstop party! Choose the quieter south side of the pool. Or the lively north side with salsa lessons, aqua aerobics or volleyball games. Enjoy the swim up bar or relax and enjoy attentive poolside drink service. Water temp is perfect. Spa. 10/10. I have been to many spas amd this one stands out amongst a few of my favorites. Come early to enjoy the best hydrotherapy as well as dry and wet saunas and a beautifully appointed relaxing pre-massage area. My massage was liquid relaxation. Rooms. 10/10 Very nice. Updated. Super clean and well stocked. Our room attendant was wonderful. Bedding was super comfortable. Refrigerators are stocked daily with beer with sodas daily. A few snacks are also restocked. Activities. 10/10. Adult type of fun. ALL DAY. Pool games, payes, tequila tasting, painting, amazing night shows in rnr lobby, karaoke, DJ. THE HYATT ZILARA CANCUN has thought of it all. Meet new people or stay to yourself. It's up to you. Food. 9/10. there is such a variety of food here it’s amazing. So many things are super fresh. The buffet is outstanding. Super fresh fruit, nice variety, excellent breads, and pastries. Wonderful coffee too. The buffet is outstanding. Super fresh fruit big variety, excellent breads and pastries. Wonderful coffee wow. Mexican restaurant is inventive and high end. Beachfront dining area. mediterranean food that is excellent. Japanese restaurant we will report on when we try it. Poolside they have burgers pizza, chicken sandwiches all day. Sometimes they offer ceviche as well in cabana to cabana cart. The coffeehouse has delicious, pastries, sandwiches it take to your pool side or bring on outside trips. Smoothies and ice cream when you have a sweet urge. Open 6 til 10 Room.servve is limited. But hey. if you haven’t overstaffed yourself all day long at the other restaurants, then you may have to wait 20 minutes to get something to eat. Dicsova (On campus tour agency) 10/10. I thought that it would be very expensive to book tours with this non-hyatt tour agency so I stayed away from them prior to our arrival. But when I came here, I was convinced that I should book with them so that I had a tour that was safe and vetted. We did two tours. Both were very good. And price was comparable to other tours online. Service. 10/10. This place is top notch. THE MAIN REASON we are coming back!!! The staff bends over backwards to help. From management to cleaning staff. All are sincere and customer focused. Special shout out to these following people: Poolside: IVAN, Noah, Reyes, Ligia Restaurants:. At The Den. We daily enjoyed deliciously hand-crafted cocktails and wonderful service. Ernesto is the Besto and Antonio is Amazo!!! Daniel is super helpful with making reservations happen! Seriously. There were many more who knew us by name and went above and beyond. After all is said and done. We would definitely come back. The only word of advice (and annoyance i had) was you had to pay extra for the poolside cabanas and lounge chairs. Other resorts guest's have to get up at an ungodly hour to "save" their spot so maybe this is a better solution. It just costs more. I just don't like having to pay an extra 60+ a day to have a poolside or beach side cabana after paying a good chunk.of cash staying here.

(WORTH THE READ) My wife and I have been going here for the last 16 yrs and it NEVER disappoints even a little bit! Where to start with this info. First and foremost. We have to mention the staff. Ana, our concierge (along with her colleagues Ingrid and Jocelyn) were out of this world. Even before we landed in Cancun. She had all of our requests handled without fail and quickly. Making our trip amazing from the start. There was nothing her and her team wouldn’t take care of for us. This is the kind of service you only dream about. Doesn’t stop with them tho. Everyone on the entire hotel staff is amazing. Let’s not forget about the people that keep the hotel spotless 24/7. You’d never know how difficult these people work keeping (what must be a daunting task) the entire hotel shining. They make it look easy. All of the managers at the restaurants come to greet us and make sure our dining experience is better than the last time. Luis in Spice has gone out of his way for my wife. When they didn’t have a certain item for breakfast on one of our trips. He made sure when we came in the next morning. His staff made it specifically for her and brought it to her piping hot table side. Julio from Punta Vista and our server from Asiana (also Julio) have always been there with a smile and the willingness to meet any request to make our experience the best! Even the pool butlers get a nod for their dedication to service. Ivan and his crew are making sure you’re comfortable while lounging poolside. Cleaning your sunglasses, bringing fresh towels etc. The rooms are magically perfect every time we come back to clean up or just get out of the sun for a bit. Like ninjas they come in and make the place spotless multiple times per day. Turndown service, rose petals on the bed for special occasions and treats on the pillow at night. Not sure how they’re able to keep it all moving seamlessly. They have the magic sauce and have always out performed our smallest expectations each and every time we go. We’ve tried another resort down the street last year and after an hour and a half. Yeah, you heard that. One and a half hours after check-in. We left that resort on foot down the road for the Hyatt Zilara!! With exception of the dark times (the plan-demic years of 2020 and 2021). We’ve been here every year at least once a year since 2009! We’ve travelled all over the Caribbean islands since early 2000’s and nothing beats this resort. We will NOT ever stray again in the future. There’s no reason to whatsoever. It goes without saying the food here is above the rest in every aspect. The resort from last year reminded us just how good the Zilara really is. Every restaurant, and from the room service kitchen is hands down the best we’ve encountered anywhere in the region. There’s one more staff member that shouldn’t go unnoticed. His name is Juan Flores! The hotels’ sommelier and resident tequila expert. This guys knows it all when it comes to quality wine, tequila and mezcal. I highly recommend the tequila / mezcal tasting class. Well worth the money spent. Paired with food he informs you how the libations are made and how to best enjoy them. Juan is the man!! If I’ve missed some of the management staff in this review you have our sincerest apologies. We can honestly give props to all of you because we know you rotate from restaurant to restaurant. Too many great things to mention about this resort. I could go on forever explaining why there’s really NO OTHER place to stay except the Hyatt Zilara!! We also found out that the resort is going to be closed from April 2025 to December, 2025 for a major remodel. We really hope they don’t lose the charm of the resort that’s been here for so long and more importantly. PLEASE DO NOT LOSE THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE IT WHAT IT IS. You can have all the brand new shiny objects all you want. If your staff isn’t up to par to fulfill the vacation dreams of your guests. The remodel won’t matter. Please keep all of these people. They're the reason we keep coming back every year!!...

What can I NOT say about Hyatt Zilara Cancun. Our stay was awesome from beginning to end! From booking and them reaching out to count down the start of your stay and see if you wanted to start reserving anything. Contacting them is smooth and seemless, and rest assured all will be taken care of before you arrive. Stay - 10 stars out of 10 stars!! Room was perfect, perfect location, clean, nice room lay out, spacious balcony, hot tub with a window, spacious bathroom, nice roomy shower, separate toilet area, stocked refrigerator with water, local beer and soft drinks. Cleaning staff - 10 stars out of 10 stars!! Cleaning staff every day did a fantastic detailed cleaning. They missed nothing. Butlers- whatever you ordered, whether in the middle of the day or the middle of the night, they came fast and delivered from a bottle of water to some nachos, which came hot. Front desk - 10 stars out of 10 stars!! From the moment you arrive. They are there and very attentive. They get you registered fast. They offer champagne upon arrival, which was a nice touch. Gave you a fresh hot towel and offered you something cold to drink if you wanted. Did not try to push anything on you. Walked you to your room and boom vacation starts. Bars- 10 stars out of 10 stars!! All of the bars were great. I will honestly say every vacation I get all inclusive, which includes drinks, I have never, and I mean, never had strong drinks as I did here. Did not ask for anything extra or pay anything extra. Each drink, no matter which bar throughout the resort, ALL were strong and delicious. Resturants an site- 10 stars out of 10 stars!! All were delicious My favorite was Punta Vista. They are located out by the pool with a view of the beach. OMG! The food here, everything was soo good. From the lunch menu here, you have to try the shrimp cocktail from the app menu. From the lunch menu on the main course, you MUST try the fried fish. Once I had that, I was getting it every day. On the dinner menu under apps, try the Jocoque. My next favorite was a tie between Asiana and Maria Marie. At Asiana, you must reserve to experience the Teppanyaki Menu, which is the table cooking like at a Benihana's or somewhere similar. It's a new experience and the sauces are good. Get the spicy for your rice if you like spice. It was just the right level of kick for me. The staff here were wonderful and took their time to explain and recommend things based on your taste preferences. Remember you must reserve here for the table experience. Maria Marie - everything was so delicious and served fresh and hot. For dessert you have to try the Mezcal Souffle which they flambe table side. Just for the staff and stay alone. Everyone you encounter here will give you top-tier customer service. It was not a person anywhere that was not smiling and offering you assistance on anything. The bar staff, all excellent. Front desk I already mentioned was so top tier. The staff out by the cabanas, smiling each and every time and assisted you on whatever your needs or wants were. The staff at the buffet, which is named Spice, were all nice and friendly. Kept everything moving smoothly and fast. Okay bunch of side notes... Bring something all white for the All White event they have. Bring tip money and please tip them as they all deserve it because you will see what I'm talking about once you step foot on the resort. They have a mall that is walking distance, or you can catch the bus right outside of the resort across the street. So easy and nothing to worry about just cost $1.00 (American dollar) going and another $1.00 coming back in. The mall is super nice and has lots of high end brand name stores as well as your usual stores. Do not, I repeat, do not fall for the selling at the airport nor at the malls. Keep walking,...
