Limoncello was recommended to us by a friend that has visited the area. I learned to not really trust the concierge at our resort. I cannot thank that friend and Limoncello enough because this was the best dining experience we've had in Cancun and now my second, maybe even tied with my first place favorite Italian restaurant ever.

From the moment I called on the phone to make a reservation, I could tell they paid attention to detail. They even asked if anyone had food allergies or if we were celebrating a special occasion.

We decided to walk from our resort to the location, but I think it is safer to get a taxi or bus.

While the inside is nicely decorated and with plenty of table space, I highly recommend sitting outside on the lagoon. In the evening, all the lights are on and even with family, it is romantic and highly enjoyable! We did not see the crocodile, but you might. The lights on the tree outside are shaped like giant lemons. They really went all out on the decor.

Our service was top-notch. Maybe the best I've had. Ever. We had two servers, Pedro and his assistant (which I unfortunately forgot the name of) who were polite, attentive, and went all out to please us. Anything we wanted or needed help with, they delivered. There was a moment in the night where three of us consecutively got pasta sauce on our shirts (it was a great moment) and Pedro brought us stain remover without us asking! Props to them for having that available for customers. It worked very well and saved us all. We were also guided to the restrooms when we asked for directions.

The food was exquisite. Have you ever had freshly made caesar dressing? Have you ever had it made in front of you? Me neither, until this meal. Pedro made a delicious caesar dressing with egg yolks, anchovies, and all other good stuff right next to our table. It was mesmerizing to watch him crack an egg and separate the yolk in between a fork and a spoon. I thoroughly enjoyed that. Then we had the pear speck, which was also wonderful. For the main course, we had the in-house freshly made black linguine with shrimp, a giant meatball, and mostaccioli. All were fantastic. My linguine was perfectly cooked al dente and I loved that it was made fresh!

The dessert was the final straw that made me fall in love with Limoncello. I had the tiramisu, which is one of my favorite desserts. It was very good, however, the volare dessert was unique and must have been created by a culinary genius. The dessert comes as a giant chocolate ball that breaks open after the waiter pours hot bailey's in an x shape. And who thinks of parmesan in a dessert? It went so well with the cream and berries. Oh, heaven. That dessert was gone within seconds.

If you read nothing about my review aside from this last line, know that Limoncello is my new favorite restaurant and if you are in Cancun, this is the best dinner you will find in the...

I was brought to this restaurant by mistake. The Uber driver was supposed to take me to a bit further. (He got 1 star and no tip The place was empty but they sat me right beside a loud, large group with kids. I ordered a Moscow Mule and got a mug of lime cordial. Horrible. Against my better judgment I ordered food. They brought bread with oil and vinegar. The oil tasted rancid. The bread was okay. To be fair, I didn't get any further. Even though I hadn't eaten all day, I knew I wouldn't be eating anything because the smell of fishy ocean was thick in the air. I am not vegetarian. But I avoid mear whenever possible. I tried to order the pasta and not opt to add meat for extra food money. But the server was having none of that. Finally, I just said "yes", to get it over with.

I realized I wasn't apt to like my meal anyway, based on everything I'd experienced so far and decided to get my bill and leave. Even though I hadn't touched my drink or even been served my pasta, they charged me for everything. Which was fine. I even intended to tip. And in fact, I did leave a tip. They auto-gratted my bill, adding $100 pesos onto my bill. Really classy. I was surrounded by the staff, as they made sure I paid my bill. Of course, my first card was "declined. " Even though I knew it was fine. But they hovered over me while I dug out another card, but not before I made certain they hadn't charged my first card on me. Not a hood experience. And if you check out my profile, you'll see I am very easy to please. It takes effort to get bad review from me. Well, this place did their worst. Worst dining experience in my life, as far as I...

We wanted to have some Italian food for dinner. After doing a lot of searching on Tripadvisor and Google, we chose Limoncello and I was very pleased indeed. Limoncello is located on the main road (Blvd. Kukulkan) of the Hotel Zone in Cancun, facing the lagoon. The great thing for diners to any of the restaurants on this side is that if you want to have dinner and see the sunset, it’s a beautiful view. Limoncello has the advantage of also being a beautiful restaurant—tastefully decorated, yet cozy. But enough about how beautiful the place is. The food and service are also terrific (our waiters Antonio and David were attentive, but not intrusive)! Their menu has something for the person who wants some very good Italian food (both Southern and Northern); they also offer very good seafood, lobsters, pizzas and meat too. They start you off with complimentary fresh flat bread made in their brick ovens served with olive oil. We had the calamari (which was not breaded, but served in a delicious marinara sauce), gnocchi, which were light yet toothy, served with a deep, rich sauce and my wife had the lasagnetta, which was not just delicious, but beautifully presented as well; our friends ordered the seafood, and it was done perfectly. The portions are very generous—so much so, that I didn’t have room to eat dessert (at the restaurant, that is…); we took the tiramisu to go, and I was glad we did, because it was delicious too. They also have a nice wine list at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend Limoncello if you’re in the mood for Italian food, or just after a lovely place to have a nice wine and...

I know it seems weird to eat Italian in mexico, but it's where my mom and aunts wanted to go. The restraunt is really cute, built on a dock with lots of Windows that were all open creating an indoor outdoor space. There are crocodiles in the water and one huge one made an appearance before dinner :) The food was delicious! We started with an argula and pear salad with parmesan and olive oil and lemon dressing...it was perfectly dressed to highlight the flavors! For dinner I had short ribs with risotto...the beef was so tender! For gluten free folks this place actually has 2 choices of GF pasta! But besides the really tasty food the service is amazing! Our server was Balam...he was wonderful for the get go...charming the ladies with guessing their age as 18, 17, and 15 lol. He suggested we get a bottle of wine since two of us were drinking the same and it was more economical. They even surprised us with desert and sang happy birthday to my mom and aunts who are in mexico celebrating. But really the most surprising and wonderful thing was that Balam brought my wrap that I had forgotten at the restraunt to our hotel on his way home from work. Really, what a wonderful human being! I hope I have the pleasure of dinning with them again.

LOVED this place. We made a reservation for our anniversary dinner and they gave us the best table and superb service. The atmosphere is romantic, upscale but still casual enough to not feel on edge, and there was a live pianist to make the evening even more romantic. There is parking onsite - be aware, the Apple Maps pin is not correct!! We made the mistake of parking way too far away and then having to walk about 10 minutes. Follow the google pin. The servers were very professional, attentive, and they even gave us a little surprise for our anniversary! The waiter even pushed my chair in for me and set my napkin in my lap. My husband had the lasagna and I had the shrimp fettuccine alfredo (super delicious) and we shared a white wine sangria which tasted like a lovely lemonade. The house bread is also delicious - it's a flat bread served with oil and vinegar. Our bill came out to just over $100.We spent almost two hours enjoying our time here and loved every moment. You can walk out on their pier and take cute photos and enjoy the atmosphere.

Outstanding restaurant! This restaurant has a great location and very cozy environment - perfect for a romantic date. They also serve big portions! After having a terrible seafood experience downtown the day before, I felt that I had to have a good experience before going back to Sweden. I therefore decided to try their linguine with mixed seafood in a spicy sauce. Absolutely delicious!! Every single part of this dish was cooked to perfection and I am seriously impressed! Nothing was chewy or lacked flavor and I could feel the freshness in the texture. I wish this dish was served back in Sweden because it was AMAZING and I would love to eat it again! My fiancée makes the best bolognese and it is very tough to beat - which often leads to disappointment when eating it at restaurants. However, she really felt like eating it today and was not disappointed. We both enjoyed it alot. Our waiter Antonio was great and often (but not too often) came to us and asked if everything was good. Highly recommend this place!!
